How and anybody get onto a forum that loves dogs and say those things. The person has got to be an idiot or a psycho. This kind of person should own a fish this way it doesn't bark and when you get tired of it you can flush it down the toilet. The dog should be rehomed and the person should be committed. |
You should realize you are lucky to have a dog as cute as a yorkie in your possession and take proper care of him. What's so wrong with the clinginess? I wish my dog was clingy but he's only clingy when he wants to be. He puts on a good front lol |

So what did you decide to do with your dog? Have you found him a home yet? |

If this is for real it sounds like this dog has never been trained by whoever cared for it (I use the term loosely ) before you took him in. Going by your previous posts it sounds like you don't have much experience with dogs. If you want to keep him and have a dog you are happy with, I suggest contacting a dog trainer who will come to your home and work with you and your dog in the environment you live in. Your vet should be able to provide contact details or if you let the YT'rs know the area you live in someone might be able to point you in the right direction. I hope this is helpfully. Good luck with your decisions. |
Hmmm my 21 pound schnorkie is a little dog. My 12 pound yorkie is tiny. My girl is a mini schmauzer... Toy breeds are tiny enough in breed standards for Yorkies I beleive it should be raised to 10. A dog under 25 pounds IS small. No dog not even one 125 pounds should live outdoors. |
My response to this is simple - if you do not enjoy your dog, you shouldn't own one. I can't wait to get home in the afternoons and see my little guy! |
your mentioned your dog is not a "tea cup" that he is 7-8 pounds, that is still a little dog. Owning a dog is hard work, youo have to be 100% commited and ready to take on the responsibility of dog ownership. Toy breeds are often very clingy to their owners, especially the yorkie breed, this is their nature. They love their owners and want to be with you all the time, that is part of the reasons why most people love their yorkies. Thses are the type of dogs who love to be pampered and treated with great love and respect, they are incredible, amazing, good natured, intellegent, sweet, loving awesome, little dogs . Some of them even look like they are smiling at you. my disabled son adores our little Suzi, and always comments about how she smiles at him, he holds her like a baby, and she does not even skirm in his arms. My girl loves to be treated like a human baby, and is quite amazing with my disabled son, who actually are attatched to him. If my sons door is closed, Suzi will lay down at his door waiting to go into his room, often I open his door to let Suzi go in. If you are for real then choose to rehome your yorkie, it does not seem like you even like him, by the way yorkie's are on the top 10 list of most popular breeds in the U.S. You should have no problem rehoming him to a great person who loves and will take better care of him as he deserves. |
