OMG. Is this for real????? I can not believe what I am reading. You are not ready to own a dog or puppy or a pet at all. Buying a pet is like adding a new family member into your life. Yorkies are very attached to there owners and will normally attach themselves to one person in particular. They can get separation anxiety and will want to go wherever you go. My male is extremely attached to me and he will follow me where ever I go he will even sit near me when I am eating and he will just lay there. When I am barbeque he is right beside me just laying there watching me, when I put my shoes on he will jump up and down letting me know he wants to come with me. He will stay with me on my couch and cuddle with me to watch a movie. He does not leave my side and if I leave the house and not take him he will wait for me at the front of the door until I get home he will not budge from that spot until I get home. My yorkies are like my kids and are treated like one. I love my yorkies to death and I would not have it any other way. If you did not want a clingy dog then a yorkie was definitely not the right move. Owning a pet is not to be taken into lightly. It takes a lot of time, and patience to train a dog, and you surely should not own a pet at all. Please find your dog a family that has the time and patience for him as the dog deserves it. My dog is very attached to me but he does not bark and if left at home he does not bark either.....

Hi barkingyorkie. I don't know if you're for real or not. You hardly write anything to defend or explain yourself. For most part, I want to think that you're just trying to get a rise out of anyone who will bite your lure but there's a tiny part of me that worries if you really mistreating your "dog".

So here's my thought... instead of owning "dog" why not own "cat" :)

I'm not sure what you're hoping for in this post. Are you looking for advice about him being clingy...or? Could you specify? It's hard to know how to respond to this, not knowing what you're looking for or the intent of the post.

Yorkies should not be left outside (in my opinion, no dogs should be left outside for extended periods, ie living outside in a yard). Yorkies are prey for eagles, hawks, owls, coyotes etcetera.

I'm getting the impression from your posts that perhaps "he" (does he have a name :) ?) isn't meeting the expectations you had before getting a pup? Do you think he is truly a good match for you?

If he isn't, maybe some people here would try to help guide you through alternative options.

I just can't believe this! What cruelty to the little guy! My yorkie is my shadow, I never let him go outside alone. I love that he is so loyal! Please give this dog up to someone that will love him!

I think this poster is jerking our chain....people do not routinely, intentionally pubically admit to child abuse or animal cruelty...leaving a Yorkie outside or in the garage is neglectful, if not abusive or cruel. He says just enough stupid, inflamatory things to get a flare up, then sits back and watches people rage! Ignore him, he has not asked for any suggestions or advice.

I agree with you. In the past I moderated 2 forums, not related to Yorkies and we had the same situation. On a Sammy Hagar board, someone would come on and say he was horrible and they loved David Lee Roth. Stuff like that....its silly, people have nothing better to do. They sit back and read all the huffy posts. They enjoy it...

Do you know what's even more sad? I have been thinking about this thread on and off for the past few days, trying to think of how someone enjoys reading angry posts aimed at them. Then I thought maybe this person is for real and I hope they find the help they need here (I feel guilt really easy!).

If this Yorkie is real, how is it now?
If it's not, where is the enjoyment in a post like that?

When I think of a big dog, I think 50 to 70 lbs, not 7 to 8 lbs.:D

This person only wants to argue. This is what a troll does. If they want help there is plenty of info on this forum and in other places. He is here to get Yorkie lovers upset. He gets a sick pleasure from it. He probably has several other forums he visits to do just the same thing. The internet has created all kinds of sicknesses.
