| I'm a 43 year old mom with mostly grown children and grandchildren. My youngest is 15 yo and my husband is the primary breadwinner in our house. With the size of the parents and registration information you provided, I would pay $800 for a male on a neuter contract.

| I was a 21 y/o college student who was broke and wanted a puppy. I found one for $350 in the DFW paper but paid $300 b/c of fleas. I couldn't have afforded to pay any more than that at the time b/c if I did then I wouldn't have been able to get the rest of his shots, supplies, ect. I'm getting married in Oct so we're working full time to save up money to pay for the expenses. After we get settled down we are thinking of getting another yorkie (maybe a girl this time...), but know we wouldn't be able to afford anything over $1000. It's going to be hard but I'll have to grow some patience until the time comes!!

| I'm a 20-year old full-time Accountant, part-time Graphics designer and soon to be part-time student. My boyfriend and I are from Dallas and bought our little boy pup for $400.00 APR registered from a breeder we found in the paper. (Registration doesn't matter for me either!, not that APR is bad..) |

| Im 34 years old dissable(fibromyalgia and chronic depression and mild lupus) mother of 2. We were willing to pay no more than $1000 and that is a lot. We paid $900 for Gucci and we love her dearly. She is register with the Kennel in Brazil. I wanted a pet not to show or breed ,that is why I didnt care much that she wasnt AKC. According to the breeder she will be around 5 to 6 lbs. |

| I paid $650 for Chachi and $950 for his sister. I think my prices are lower than most though because I purchased from a breeder in rural Indiana. It really depends on where your live and also the size of your pups since so many people are willing to pay more for pups that are giong to be small adults.

| I am a 21 year old part time student, part time working, I got Loki with my boyfriend in July at a great breeder for $850 canadian- the original price for the litter was 1000- but when we found the breeder there was only one puppy left from that litter- and they had lowered the price. He is AKC registered, from pure bred bloodline, very healthy. We got him not for show or breeding, just for love and lots of fun. We want to get another yorkie someday- right now we can't afford too much, but hopefully in the near future. |

| in my never ending research.. i usually go to the flee market.. and there.. those flee market dog venders sell yorkies on average.. male $1000 and female $1500... but I question how my TLC do they have for those puppies if they have so many breeds to sell??? What environment do those puppies come from??? A home or a mill??? If they dare to charge that much, why can't I charge more for my home raised puppies (philosophically speaking that is).... hehehheheh |

| I am a 23 year old recent college grad, working full time, and now going to graduate school at night. We got our dog for free! I know, I know.....HOW? Well - a friend of ours found him walking through the neighborhood, took him home and searched for his family, but no one claimed him. So she took him to the vet, got all shots and had him neutered, then gave him to us. (and would not accept any money for the things she already took care of) Granted, we don't have papers, but he is defiantly a yorkie, silky, or cairn. He has soooo many yorkie traits, that he has to be one. Regardless of the fact that I don't have papers and do not know anything about his background, I can't put a price on this dog. I love him that much and he is that cute. This was such a blessing for us - I wanted a puppy soooo bad. (yorkie, maltese, or shih tzu) But being a recent college grad, as most people that replied, I could not afford one. Anyway - good luck on puppy pricing!!! The price here starts a $500 and goes up (way up) from there. |

| sexcbrucelee, the parents are a good size, I would think you could get $800 - $900 easily. YorkiesX2, please do not breed your female at 2lbs 8oz. She is just to tiny. I personally would not buy a pup that came from a mother under 4.5lbs.

| I am 27, a married mother of 4 , 2 mine two my husbands , I work as a lead caregiver in a day care center (it does not pay as much as they make it sound) anyway , I bought Kai from a breeder here in Iowa for 650.00 she is papered APRI , but at the time I was not looking at papers only my sweet little baby. The breeder was going to hold her and breed her , but she has a small under bite and thats why she was willing to sell her. My parents had a yorkie when I was a teen and I love him dearly , I fially decided that they where never going to give him up , and bought my own. my price range was no more then 800.00 ..but you find them here for 500 (rarley tho) up to 2,000 So I have a question for you guys what are you talking about when you say contract for selling and neuter contract? I dunno if I will ever breed Kai (if I do it will probley be just so I can have MORE yorkies!) but don't tell my hubby that! |
