| ears One of bentley's ears has come up. But the other is still floppy. Is it ok to only tape the ear that is floppy??

| Let him raise his ears on his own. He will do the Gizmo imitation soon enough that you dont have to rush the process. |

| Cozy's ears were never trained before I got her at 4 months so they never stood up. I trained her pups ears with tape and they all have erect ears.

| Sometimes their ears just dont stand no matter what you do. It does not make them any less a yorkie just because their ears flop..... |

| Have you trimmed the hair off his ears, it can become quite heavy and hold the ears down or sometimes when they are teething they will flop for a while

| If the hair is too thick on Remy's ears they will flop a bit. I have them shaved now.

| I agree with the ear hair trim advice...I always keep the top half of Sophie's ears trimmed short as our breeder warned me the weight could cause her ears to eventually flop down. Yorkies look cute either way though.

| Yes i have been keeping them trimmed down with clippers. One day both his ears were floppy but you could tell they had perked up some. Then i trimmed them and later the same day one was straight up. The other one seems to be coming up. Its is not all floppy. Like his ear is standing except for the tip flops a little lol. I love him with or without floppy ears, but i do prefer them stand... He will be 12 weeks saturday. It seems to me he is testing me sometimes... Little stinker

| Also, we were out walking yesterday and a man walked by and asked if he was a yorkie. I said yes, and.he was like OH MY GOSH, he must be a giant yorkie cuz hes HUGE!! Weird or not, it kinda made me a little angry at that moment, Because my baby is not big. I honestly dont think ge weighs much more than three pounds, IF that. But he does look bigger because his hair is SO fluffy. But when i bathe him, he is just tiny! Could he have a cotton coat? How can you tell? Because other pics ive seen of other yorkies they dont look as poofy as him lol

| I forgot to add that I trim the front and back of each ear and trim the edges so there is a clean upside down v-shape (well I don't, the groomer does). Sophie's hair on her ears grows back so fast...she is a hairy little girl! I have also heard massaging the tips can help too...has anyone else heard about doing that? I don't want to give you bad advice.

| I started out EARLY with bentley. I do the outside and some of the inside and also the edges so his ears come to almost a perfect point. I dont ever let them grow out to long. His ears are so cute!!

Before Sophie's last cut she was a big ball of hair...she now looks like a little grey kitten since her black wiry puppy hair is now cut off and her silky grey coat is exposed. Your baby is going to change a lot in the next couple of months.
