| Ahi's spay is on the countdown.... I am such a nervous wreck already! Can someone who had a barely 4 pounder tell me it will be ok? Any positive stories greatly appreciated. Her surgery is set for June 7th. I requested a full panel blood work-up the week before. I have her Kiss-E Cone and I think she is ready to go. I'm biting my nails already.

| Sugar was 3.5 pounds when she was spayed ~ the second time Long story, but when she was re homed I was told she was not spayed and she had no scar. Dr opened her op and found only a uterine stump and closed her back up. That was a year and a half ago and she still has no scar!! Curri will be scheduled for a spay soon. She isn't quite 3 pounds and is only 6 1/2 months old so we have a few months yet. Ahi will do great You are doing the right thing by getting blood work before hand. You have to put your trust in your vet and in yourself for making informed decisions

| Poor Sugar! How was she after coming out of it? Is she a picky eater too? Ahi is so finicky to begin with i'm afraid she won't eat anything at all after it's done. Ok...I feel a bit better.

| Ahi will do fine. She is big enough and as long as you have the blood workup, then you have done the right thing. I know exactly how you feel, because I have been the same way before. I have never had any bad experiences whether they were tiny or bigger.

She is/was a very picky eater. She ate chicken if she was hand fed and plain lowfat yogurt with active cultures (I make my own) for a day or 2 then began eating normally again.

| Miss Khloe was 3.5 pounds when she was spayed at 8 months. She did great and only took two days until she was back to her normal, crazy self. I'm sure Ahi will do great

| Thank you for the well wishes and prayers. It's different than if one of my kids had surgery. That sounds awful but my kids have voices to tell me their comfort level. I have to assume and guess with my little Ahi.

| My Sami is just a bit over 4 lbs and she was spayed on Friday. She bounced back so fast!! She was acting fine after the second day. I am the one still trying to keep her from being wild. Your little one will be fine. She will be up running around making you a nervous wreck very quickly, lol.

| I didn't get Uni spayed until she was almost 3, not 3 lbs, but 3 years! Bc I didn't find a vet I trusted yet. But if you have a good relationship with your vet, and are having bloodwork done before hand, Ahi will be fine! I had Uni's bloodwork done the week before and when they came back fine I scheduled her for the spay. She did great, and her appetite improved tremendously! After almost 3 yrs of begging her to eat, she now begs me to feed her! I feel like it was the best decision I ever made for her and now wish I had done it sooner.
