I didn't get Uni spayed until she was almost 3, not 3 lbs, but 3 years! Bc I didn't find a vet I trusted yet. But if you have a good relationship with your vet, and are having bloodwork done before hand, Ahi will be fine!
I had Uni's bloodwork done the week before and when they came back fine I scheduled her for the spay. She did great, and her appetite improved tremendously! After almost 3 yrs of begging her to eat, she now begs me to feed her! I feel like it was the best decision I ever made for her and now wish I had done it sooner.
