A list of the best dog foods

About Taste of wild, They initially did the recall voluntairly because of samenella poisioning, no dogs became ill. Also, the recall only was for certain states not all. I did some invstigating and in CA, was not one of the states on the recall list. So I am feeding my 2 TOTW and they are fine. and healthy. However if I lived in one of the north eastern states where it was recalled I'd defineately would not use it.

Merrick is US based and uses only ingredients from the US and their formulas look very good to me...there is definitely a lot worse you could feed your dogs. It can be hard for some people to find a quality food that is also easily accessible and affordable and something they feel comfortable giving their pets. I hope I didn't sound like I was getting on your case! It's sounds like your doing a ton of research and have your dogs' best interest at heart so I'm sure you'll end up with a great food for them!

No I will always appreciate any constructive commits. Fromm food looks good just to far or mail order. I'm going to get a short list and buy small samples. The dog need to like the food also.

But it is still manufactured by diamond is it not? I would never ever trust any diamond food because of past problems as well as the things I have read about diamond plants and it wouldn't matter what state I was in.

No because I need to get sample to make sure the dog like it. Why you have a recommended dog food?? I checked online usually ~$10 more. I won't buy big bags. I feel they go bad faster. Maybe not but I would rather buy something in smaller bags near the house. Withing 10mile.

I wish they sold smaller bags then they do now so I get the small bag thing. I use Blue buffalo wilderness small breed but hope to switch to home cooking when I get moved.

They are made in Usa? I know someone who's dog didn't like that food. But that can happy with any food. The reason why I want to narrow my choices down and get small sample. But I like that brand and it's close to me. But why I didn't put that on my short list is because of the high protein. I know all the "protein" topics so i just thought I would try foods with mid levels???

I believe they are made in the US except they get lamb from New Zealand or someplace like that...you'll probably want to shoot them an email to verify.

I put my pup Toki on Blue Buffalo chicken and oatmeal for puppies when I got her (the breeder initially on Earthborn I think which is a pretty good food) and eventually switched her to the puppy Wilderness before switching to Fromm. My sister's very picky yorkie is on the small breed Wilderness and also likes the salmon Wilderness. And my parents' beagle is on the Blue Buffalo healthy weight. All of our pets have done well on this brand. But again, different dogs are going to react differently to the same formula.

I wish I knew about all these foods before my pick POM passed. He loved Salmon. He woulda or may love all these Salmon based foods. i don't mid outside of Usa just not China or any Country who treat there ppl like crap. And send poison our way. Just the high protien. Like I said maynot be bad just I want to try med levels of it.

I took my new puppy to the vet Monday, and she recommended royal canin puppy 29 for yorkies. That is what I got her.

Blue buffalo has a newer food called freedom that is grain free but less protein then the wilderness.

Sure that would be the easy way. Keep them one Usa made food that they are already one. Mr Chewy doesn't sell Nutrisource?? And the others will charge more and I would need to spend alot to get shipping.
