Hello Everyone...This is Odyssey she is 8 weeks old and weighs 2.6 lbs...Would really like to know if you all think she's a Yorkie are not?...Her mom has a papers as well as her dad. Odyssey has a sister that died from parvo last week and she was smaller with the Teddy bear face. It concerns me about my baby not really having the hair on her nose it just goes backwards. Anyway she's my little girl and I love her alot. Just thought I would ask.

I hope you don't have any problems with parvo. Can't tell much about your puppy without some pictures. It is hard to tell with photos anyway because they change so much as they get older. It sounds like your pup is on the large size. What kind of breeder did you buy her from? Did you see both parents? Were there many other dogs around?

Parvo is VERY contagious....watch YOUR baby very closely for listlessness, vomiting, diarrhea, and scurry to the vet immediately with her if she has any of these signs. Ididnt see a picture of your baby....I hope she is well.

Welcome to YT. I would recommend watching your puppy very closely. As Yorkiemom1 said, Parvo is highly contagious. I am not criticizing you for getting your puppy at 8 weeks but it is a concern, many Yorkie breeders don't place puppies until they are 12 weeks old. An 8 week old at 2.6 pounds is very vulnerable to so many things. They have only had part of their puppy shots and blood sugar can drop quickly. Please have your Vet on speed dial and Best wishes for a long and happy life together.

Welcome to YorkieTalk and congrats on your new puppy. I hope she stays healthy, make sure that you keep a close eye on her, parvo is deadly.

I looked in your album, Odyssey is very cute. She looks like a Yorkie to me, she's still very young so I wouldn't worry about the hair on her nose being shorter.

Your pup is a cutie. She appears to be yorkie to me... But you could always do a dna test to make sure if it really matters to you.

Sorry guys!!!....I just couldn't figure out how to post the pictures. I was able to it them in my album. When I got her. I took her to the Vet and got her shots and a couple of day took her in for a wash. I know that her sister Pixie was set outside the first night, because the people who had her said she cried all night and it bothered them. Truthfully we got those girls at 6 weeks. Pixie died a week later. Her parents took her to the Vet and she was left there for 8 hours while they were at work. She came home sick a sluggish with a very foul order coming from her and her poop was runny and dark. I felt sorry for her but her parents wouldn't let me take her. I never took my baby back over to there house after the first night I got her it has been two weeks since and Odyssey is very active, playful and so loving.
