Diamond makes some of the Wellness foods, but not all. If the food is really working for you, then I would probably just stick with it. Make sure you don't have anything involved in the recall of course. Maybe contact Wellness and discuss your concerns with them. It may help set your minds at ease.

I already did that, that's one of the things that make me so uncomfortable, they lied to me....

Today I saw something that truly made my stomach turn. You know how we have been getting so much trash from China for our pets. At least they have discovered some of what is out there. Well, here is a new one. It's not sold for pets though it is sold for human consumption. Capsules filled with ground human baby flesh. China has a forced abortion law. They can have one live birth only. If a woman becomes pregnant after the first child has been born then they must have an abortion or if they give birth the baby is left to die on it's own. A country so void of human compassion is capable of anything and here we are, the United States of America, selling our country out to China. They now make 90% of our products. I once saw a news piece on a big town in China that makes most of our Christmas trees and ornaments. It looked like Santa's workshop but these people had no idea what they were making or what it represented.
We need to stop this madness and stop it now. China wants their currency to take over the dollar. They will own this country in no time at all. We already owe them more than we can ever pay back. Write your lawmakers. We want our industry back from China! Who knows what else they are putting human baby remains in??? Here is the link to the story. It is in several other publications. It's not a big story though. It's as though we have already surrendered to the enemy. Whatever they want to do is fine with our media and our government!

Do any of you home cook for your furkids? If so, do you have any recipes, do and don'ts you'd be willing to share? Links are appreciated to. I won't do the BARF diet though, just not comfy giving raw meats. Thanks so much in advance.

I also saw the article you are talking about (recalled foods)...the wellness that was recalled was the large breed PUPPY food....

I called Wellness three times myself and the first lady I spoke to said Diamond didn't make any of the small bags of food, in ANY formula, only the 30 pound bags.Then the recall came out and announced the formula that was recalled, and said it was the 30 pound and 15 pound bags, and the 5 ounce samples. hmm, perhaps when you called and were given that response the woman was technically telling the truth in saying Diamond didn't make any small bags of food at the time of your phone call. They perhaps omitted the fact that Diamond USED TO make all sizes of food a few months ago. Technically they would not be lying by stating they no longer use Diamond to produce their foods. This is what they stated when I called them a day after the first recall was made (and before wellness was put on the list). What I neglected to ask them was WHEN they stopped using Diamond. So the puppy food could have been the last food that was made at the Diamond plant in SC however many months ago and they are just being overly cautious by recalling the food.

Honestly with your dogs situation I would still trust in the company and keep her on the food.

I'd call them again with written down questions and make sure you get the complete answer you are looking for. Maybe the first person you spoke to was new or just out of the loop. who knows...

I've decided to do just that, I mean keeping Mags and Jazzie on the Wellness that is. I know right now they are ok, but I also know if I change Mags food, she WILL be very sick. I'm done with trying to figure out the truth, I don't feel anyone should have to sift through it, ya know what I mean? I'm just praying to God that he keeps our furkids healthy and safe.

If that's the only food that works for you pups, then you should probably just stick with it. Maybe Wellness can tell you where it is made and who makes it based on the information on the bag. Diamond makes SOME of the Wellness dry foods, but no all. Wellness has always been a pretty good company from what I hear.

I've had Mags on Wellness for 5 years, have always trusted them up until now. I have spoke with the company, 5 times now. As for right ow, I'm leaving Mags and Jazzie on it and praying to God it isn't added to the recall list.
