| Top Knot There are a lot of cute pics with yorkies with top knots and they are so cute. My question is Tootsie has some short hairs between her eyes that were cut that way by a groomer, I was thinking about letting them grow in so she has more of traditional top knot but when it hair not in top knot will it hang in her eyes? And does everyone put new top knot in everyday or can u let same one in for a few days??? |

| We have that problem here too. I decided to trim the hair between her eyes. We don't do a topknot every day, so this works for us. I think most people suffer through the grow out stage, and put that hair up when it's long enough. I think there is some doggy gel that you can use to keep the short hairs in place until they're long enough to put in the topknot.

| I had that same problem with my boy. He did not care for the topknot and i also tried the gel but he had an allergic reaction to it so i gave his face a little trim. |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | We have this problem too. I am going to tell the groomer next time not to cut the hair there and let it grow. KS gets topknotted every day and it is out at night time. She sleeps all through the night now though so I don't think the hair bothers her at night.

| My groomer cut Khloe's hair too but next time I am going to ask her to leave it alone. I admit it is funny looking sticking out but cutting it only delays the growth process ( I think). I want Khloe to have a topknot and her hair is so thin and silky. |

| yeah the hair will fall in the ears but you an use pet slick to slick it down while growing it out. eventually it does row out, dont be tempeted to cut it again or you'll be starting all over again. Good luck

| Hello. A lot of us have the same problem. It takes a while for the hair to get long enough to be put in a top knot. I let Abba's grow out, it looks very cute. Gracie's looks better with the hair above her eyes cut short, like bangs. Ginny Joy has a beautiful wide eyed face so her top knot area is left long too. Rubin has a short baby doll type face and we don't cut his face hair except the tear path, because his eyes water. He does not wear a top knot. He hates them. The other 3 Yorkies get a fresh top knot daily.
