Yes, I've actually just started them on it, they have been on it for 2 days, and I'm here to tell ya, this stuff is AMAZING!! Gracie had really bad irritation, rather it's from allergies or what, I haven't figured out yet, but she dug herself raw under her arm to where she bled. TWO DAYS after being on this stuff and her under arm is completely cleared up, and her chest and neck is just about all cleared up as well!! I just measure it out and add the chunk on top of their food, of course that's the very first thing they go for, lol. Make sure to read on the links that have been posted here to know the dosages and stuff and to start out slow. So far though, it's going great here. I also put it on Gracies neck and under arm, works AMAZINGLY!!

Coconut oil is a medium chain fatty acid... most other oils are long chain fatty acids, so the body digests them differently. Coconut oil will not cause pancreatitis, it actually helps the pancreas and can help level out blood glucose levels. Peek a Boo had two bouts of pancreatitis when he was 6 years old.... none since.

I started mine on a 1/4 teaspoon twice a day and built up from there. It allowed them to get used to the taste... now they won't eat their food without it.

That's what I started our boxers out at, 1/4 teaspoon, probably could go more, but I'm also switching their food, and I don't wanna push my luck, lol. I can't believe al the stuff this is good for!!

That is so great Coco has bad allergies too! While the probiotics in the yogurt work I think something topical that I wouldn't worry about her licking would be great

Thank you for all the great info on! I have heard for years that coconut oil is good for our pets...as well as for us too! I wonder about pancreatitisc? I know too much oil in pets food can cause this...anybody know if coconut oil would cause or prevent this...I read the info quickly and didn't read anything on this...

Yes, it's certified organic. The link I posted above is for the type of coconut oil I use. I've been buying from Tropical Traditions for years now and do trust them.

It's a different type of fat/oil than others and doesn't cause problems with pancreatitis. The link I posted above does explain the differences in coconut oil and other fats.

Don't forget to take it yourselves too! You can use it for cooking, put it on your skin, your hair... Its amazing stuff!
