Parti is different (carrying the piebald gene I think) but I would LOVE someone to fully explain it to me :thumbup:

Maybe so...lol...but not true in Germany. German's pronounce the letter "w" like we in the USA pronounce the letter "v". :D

Anything can be mis-pronounced, but "Biewer" is a German last name...for which the dog was named, so I pronounce it the same way the Germans do. I'd want my name correctly pronounced...I'd take the time, make the effort, do the same courtesy for others and learn to say it correctly...but that's just me. :p Of course, I did live in Germany for several years, too...and have friends from Germany, so I'd also get beat up for saying it wrong...how's that for incentive? :D

I'd say 'no' since it's a German name and in Germany, "w" is pronounced like "v" is in the USA. Tricky, I know, 'cuz no one (except many German class :p) teaches us how Germany (or any other country) pronounces all the vowels and consonants. :D

I studied music in college and sang many songs in german, so I recognized Biewer as a german word, but it never clicked that people actually pronounced it traditionally. I just assumed it was viewer, what an american I am :rolleyes: :D

I agree, and I try, but German is so hard for me!

I'd like to hear people pronounce "chow mein" correctly for once!
