i havent checked out this thread for a while!! I think its sooo great you have decided to keep TWO! that is sooo awesome. i love the name river- and its so fitting since rio means river<3<3 im so happy for you :] its crazy how time flies- i cant believe how old they are now!

Here are the first pics to the legacy for you all....some are of all 6 (Courtney's 2 and Rio's 4 ) and some are just of Rio's precious 4. (3 girls and one boy)...there is a tiny tiny girl , and i dote and worry over her all day every day. We are having tails done tomorrow....I hate the thought of it. If it were up to me, I'd leave them long. But I feel that since the standard calls for it, I am going to go with the norm. Enough said about that for now...no debates on this on this thread please ,thats not what this thread is about. This is about a wonderful, beautiful mommy who gave her life for the life of these little angels, and a precious yorkie mommy who was loving enough to take these orphans in as her own... Just wanted to let you all know just in case you may be a little confused...Rio had 5 babies total. We lost a little boy and a little girl. We have 2 girls and 1 boy now who are 4 weeks old and doing wonderful!!

Courtney had a litter 1 week before Rio did. When Rio passed away 3 days after her babies were born, My sweet Courtney took the babies in as her own and fed and nutured them. It has truly been a miracle for me to watch this and be a part of this. I miss my girl terribly and probably always will. She was a SPECIAL yorkie who came to live with me and my family all the way from Sao Paulo, Brazil, hence the name "Rio" was born...
She was my heart. I became really good friends with her breeder, Karenene very early on when Rio was a baby. I hope to travel to her city in Brazil in late 2006-early 2007 and visit with her and her yorkies (Rio's family

) and to maybe bring another baby home with me.

My girl Rio touched my heart in a place it's never been touched, and she made every day a joy in my life. I love all of my precious yorkies, but Rio had a personality that was almost "human like". We are seeing this start to repeat itself in her daughter "Bridgit". Rio wasn't perfect, but she sure was perfect in my eyes!

This is her..."just being a yorkie" and "posing for me!"

Im so happy that you have decided to keep two of the babies. Rio was a very special girl. She was beautiful. She will always be with you on her babies.The pups are so beautiful.

You are such a special person. Through this tradedy, you have really touched my heart and I'm sure many others. Thank you for sharing like this and letting all of us in on something that is so hard on you. I can only say Thank you again and keep us updated on those beautiful babies!
