| Also pups cannot potty on their own so you have to wipe their bum/pp with a warm wet cloth. |

| And rub them vigorously to stimulate circulation. Temp also needs to be kept on mid 80s at all times. There are so many little things - been a long time since I've raised an orphaned litter! It's alot of work but so worth it when they grow into healthy happy bouncy babies!

| Thanks for all the replies! I think they were just trying to get free pups because my normal vet whose shift was over after they started these ridiculous request told me that they latched on fine but one was being tube fed because she was so weak! Now they won't latch at all? I called another 24hr emergency care and she did not believe they would act like that. After I told her the breed she said they might be trying to keep them or sell them! They agreed to help me and sale me the supplies I will need to tube feed them Thanks for all the encouragement! |

| What an unscrupulous vet I would definitely report them to the proper authorities once things calm down and you've got YOUR babies feeding well and safe. I'm so sorry that they tried to do that to you![]() Will the new vet show you exactly how to tube feed? It's very precise but I know with some skilled instruction, you'll do just fine. In the meantime, keep them warm and keep trying to get them to latch on to Momma to stimulate her milk production and the hormones for that "maternal feeling". I bet she'll catch on when her incision isn't so darned fresh and sore. Best of luck to you and the little family. I'll be thinking of you all and praying that everyone does well. I'm sorry for the loss of the one baby, that's too bad Thank goodness your breeder recognized that there was a problem and she got to the vet in time!!!BIG hugs to you and all your babies

| I'm so glad you got them home. I would be furious with the people who wanted you to give them your puppies. Mom's instinct is very good even after a C-section. Sometimes they need a little encouragement but not much. Of course any mom with milk coming in wants to be rid of it. Hope things go well from here on out. |

| So sorry to hear you've now lost 2 babies - but thrilled the remaining baby is home and nursing on it's own! Hope it continues to thrive!

| This is a sad story make you want to cry that when a person is going through what the OP is that a Vet who is suppose to be a professional that you can trust your babies with would do this to them. I would be calling the local news stations and telling them my story. To the OP I am so glad you got to save at least one of your little ones.

| glad the one puppy seems to be doing well. The pup is so young and with this being your first litter please stay in touch her since there are people that can answer questions you may have as the weeks go but. As others have said there is a breeders section here, not sure if you have seen it yet but there is a lot of good real life experience in there.
