| they are probably a good groomer then. they didn't want to make the first time a bad one for your pup. it's nice when they can be introduced slowly to new scary things like that. also you are very lucky because most people come on here very upset after the first groom because they got a shaved dog back! enjoy that sweet smelling babe!!! |

Are you happy with it - what did you ask for? Brutus has only been groomed 4 times, but the first time was horrible! He looked like a squirrel - so I would say it takes less time to cut the hair (if that's what you wanted) than for the hair to grow back. The last time we had Brutey groomed, I wasn't home (huge mistake). The boys decided that they wanted him to have a goatee and went against the directions I had left. I have learned my lesson the hard way. I think you need to really explain to the groomer what you want. The cut I liked the best was a picture I found here from Brit's little guy, Jackson. Showing a picture of my expectations really helped. I also don't feel comfortable doing nails nor do I have any desire to express anal glands. After my first experience, I now use a mobile groomer.

| Oh no i said no shaving and that was what they said was that they wanted her first visit to be pleasant her worst thing seemed to be the dogs barking what i was going to ask is is having a silky coat dif from being a silky terrier. Her skin is very soft and fine dosent feel cotton to me but when i adk her she said oh shes definitly not a silky terrier and showef me a pic of a gray dog and said she was a silky. I just meant her coat lol

| If your not unhappy - that's great. The groomer was just getting to know your dog and didn't want to do anything drastic. Sounds like you should try them again and see what you think.

| awww....such a cutie you've got! Hailey just went to the groomer yesterday for the first time and it was about the same...bath, a little trim here & there but it was for the most part to get her familiar with her groomer. she did fantastic, btw. before & after:

| Cocoa and Harley look adorable! I think this might be the case with me when I take Sheldon for his 1st grooming, I rather them take a little than too much. I am the same way when I take my son for a haircut hahahaha. I learned how to cut his nails just watching the lady at the pet store do it, I use a cat nail trimmer. I cut just a little bit because I am afraid to hurt him so it probably needs to be done more often then usual but I don't mind it since I don't have to pay 10 bucks. |

| I hope they continue to respect your wishes as far as grooming. She is such a cutie. I hope they didn't charge you full price for doing what they did. My groomer doesn't charge me full price if all she does is bathe and cut nails and just a little trimming. |
