| ![]() we felt her belly earlier and it feels like it did pre-pregnancy. she is acting normal and we've been hand feeding her because she doesnt want to move at all. we have been checking on them every 45 minutes to an hour. |

| ![]() What do you mean when you say she doesn't move at all ? is she feeding pups ? can you take the pups away & when you do does she try to follow or is she really not wanting to move at all ? if she's refusing to move there may be another pup in her & if there is after this long she could be in serious trouble by morning , not to mention the pup . | ![]() You might want to move the pups to the bedroom she is used to sleeping in. Those puppies need her body heat. New moms don't always understand how to take care of puppies right away. She has never done this before. I'm so glad she only had two. Hope things continue to go well. |

| ![]() its not the bedroom thats messing her up because she doesnt sleep in my girlfriends room, yet shes trying to come and get in bed with her and sleep. she just has sleep in a bed since they first got her and isnt used to sleep in her whelping area we made for her, which isnt a bed, but its pretty comfy. |

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Congrats. I would move the whelping box to whatever room she wants to be in. She wants to be close to you. She will relax then.

Congrats on a successful whelp, thankful that all went well!! Plus they were born on my daughters birthday !! It is very unusual that a mamma will leave her pups so soon other than to potty or eat. If you dont confine her or move the box she will try to take the pups to the other room and may harm them during the process. She could drop them or bury them in a pile of clothes on the floor. You might want to find a way to confine her to the room with the whelping box in it or move them to the other room where she is wanting to sleep. These pups are so very tiny and fragile, I would hate to see anything happen to them. My Miah was use to sleeping in our room and after she had a litter, one night we caught her moving the pups up to our room. We had to put the gate up so she would stay with her pups. Docking needs to be done within 3-5 days depending on the vet.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() i don't want to overload you with info. But have you got the calcium supplement for MOM? If not one whole scrambled egg a day should help out. She does need more calcium when she is nursing. Can you not bring her bed into the whelping area; and then close off the whelping area so that she can be confined to this spot? If not move the whelping area into the bedroom she most wants to be in; but someone is going to need to insure she stays with the pups enough.

| ![]() Does someone you know have a baby gate? They are going to need one anyway once those puppies start to move around. She needs to stay near those puppies. If their body temperature drops they could die. |
