Congrats on a successful whelp, thankful that all went well!!

Plus they were born on my daughters birthday !!

It is very unusual that a mamma will leave her pups so soon other than to potty or eat. If you dont confine her or move the box she will try to take the pups to the other room and may harm them during the process. She could drop them or bury them in a pile of clothes on the floor. You might want to find a way to confine her to the room with the whelping box in it or move them to the other room where she is wanting to sleep. These pups are so very tiny and fragile, I would hate to see anything happen to them.

My Miah was use to sleeping in our room and after she had a litter, one night we caught her moving the pups up to our room. We had to put the gate up so she would stay with her pups.

Docking needs to be done within 3-5 days depending on the vet.
