| Am I odd?? For 6 years I had my beloved fife, and 7 years my wonderful shaffer, from day one I brushed daily in winter I let them grow out the hair, in spring I would cut it short I would keep all the hair both my boys had such nice hair. I'm a knitter, I took a spinning class to spin my own yarn, wasn't that great at it so I sent it out to have professionally done I got the yarn back and it's fantastic. I want to make myself a scarf, my friends think I'm crazy most if ot all of them loved my dogs and clearly know how much Shaffer and fife meant to me they say it's just odd that I would wear a scarf made of dog, to me it would be a treasure, perhaps I maytont even wear it but I think I want to make it. Mind you most of my friends have pets and want to return as my pet one day in another life, but they were all dead set against me turning shaffer and fife into a diamond. I can say I'm getting almost as much neg with the scarf. |

| There are a few places you can send in hair or cremens they process it and send it back. I still want to do it, but not sure how much if I would ever wear it, but a few diamonds in the cabinet better than the box they are in, in my opinion. https://www.irrproducts.com/p-22-blu...i-90-99ct.aspx |

| I spin and I've kept some of Mr. Beasley's puppy fluff to mix with wool and spin. I don't think you're crazy - I think it's sweet. There's a company who does nothing but spin dog hair. Much cheaper than the diamond route - imho.

| I sent the hair out had it cleaned carded and spun it's back and it's really pretty. Im still thinking about the diamond I know that is odd but I always beat to my own drum. I like it that way. I don't want people to think I'm the crazy cat lady just with my dogs but that might be the case. |

| I don't think it is weird. I would wear it proudly. I also have some of Missy's hair, someday I want to get a diamond made from it, or use it in some way. I absolutely have no problem with either one.

| I think it would make a very nice keepsake, even if you never wore it. I understand that it is special.

| I know someone who breeds shelties. She saves their hair from grooming (a lot of hair) and has them made into teddy bears as keepsakes. they look and feel like angora. I don't think you are odd. When I"m feeling depressed, I go and put on my (now passed) uncle's old flannel lined jean shirt and it reminds me of my uncle and grandma and grandpa when I was a girl. it's comforting. |

| I think you are a wonderful, kind, gentle, soul who had an endearing bond with very special babies that shared your life, and now that they are no longer with you, you are searching for a way to keep them close....I think the scarf is a wonderful idea, and I would do it in a second! I think it would be a loving sentimental tribute to your precious little Fife and Shaffer., and I am sure Fife and Shaffer would think it is a kind and loving tribute to their memory. GO FOR IT!!! |
