| I need some grooming advice Please.. I plan on letting Oscar's hair grow out. I see a lot of beautiful yorkies on here , many with long hair. Right now i brush & comb him everyday. A bath once a week. When he does have a full coat one day what can i expect to do for a daily grooming routine ? Do i need a special hair dryer ? Right now i heat up several towels in the dryer and wrap him in one after the other till he is dry . I just want to make sure i do the right things to care for his coat. Any advice appreciated, Thank You.. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Hi and I . would love to see Oscar with long hair. I am letting Romeo's hair grow as well. He lets me brush him several times a day and he gets a bath once a week. I actually towel dry him as much as I can and then use a regular blow dryer (high, cool settings) to finish drying him. I also give him a daily wipe down with puppy wipes or a warm towel.

| I just brush/comb once a day and bathe weekly.... I've always used a blow dryer, usually the same one I use for my own hair... And lots of conditioner, after the bath and a diluted spray for daily maintenance.

| A Blow dryer helps to eliminate some of the curl in a coat too, as will the weight from the coat being longer. Plus a longer coat stays wet longer, and I worry about mine catching a chill.

| Chloe' hair got shaved he looks sooooo funny, except for his head, I kept the ponytail. He's hard to handle, I give him treats but he really hates when I comb or brush him, The groomers aren't happy either, any suggestions?
