| 'Happy'ness in our lives Hi, Just logged in to say 'Hi'. We are getting our new baby 'Happy' during April. But had just been to see him at breeders' place!! He weighs at 3lbs 12 ounces at 17 weeks. I hope this is normal . I have attached few of his snaps to the thread.. I had few questions for which I would need your expert advice. While we had him for around 2 hours, he dint drink nor did he eat anything. I am not sure why but even though we tried to feed him water and some treats, he did not open his mouth. Is it due to shyness?? Also he did not bark. He was quite for almost 2 hrs. Is this good? We will be getting him in 2 weeks, but when I see him, I feel that he is a submissive dog... Looking forward for your opinions/advices. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | He sounds like a great little pup. I wonder if he was feeling a little under the weather...? Did he just have recent vaccinations or anything? I don't think it's too unusual that he didn't eat/drink while you there. Did he play/have energy? Btw, welcome to YT.

| Hi! There you are!... Welcome again! If he was playing the whole time... puppies forget to stop and eat or drink... or maybe he wasn't hungry? IDK... As for barking... don't worry... he'll learn that soon enough!!

| Here is your post minus pics. How did he act while you were there. He may have a more submissive personality than some. He sounds like a sweetie. I look forward to hearing how he acted otherwise while you were with him.

| When we took him out, he was just quite. He dint play even though I gave him few toys. It was like he dint know what are those for. Even at breeders place I did not find any toys. Also, he did not show anything when vet gave him shots. Vet said he has good health. But I feel I am missing his "puppy energy". |

| He is 17 weeks old. There are 2 puppies in the litter, a boy and girl. Girl seemed to be bit active than our guy. Is this something which I should be worried about?? This is the first time in my life that I am having a pet, and we took him because it was a love at first sight for us. But when I see him with low energy it bothers me.. Also I forgot to mention one thing, when we first visited him, both puppies were calm. But when their mom came, all 3 started playing really well. They were jumping, friendly nipping etc.. Is this something that I should be worried about? |

| Just had a word with breeder. He said pup is bit shy and will get along when he comes to know each other. He also said that the pup might just sit in a corner for first 2-3 days and later he will start exploring. He also said that the pup would open up when he feels that it is his home.... I know yorkies mark their territories and I hope he will fill our lives with 'Happy'ness..!!! |
