Yorkie Yakker | Terra Comes Home!! Finally! Hello All! I just wanted to let everyone know that Terra came home yesterday. She is doing great so far although I am exhausted. LOL. She doesn't really like her crate or playpen but we are working on those. She slept with me last night and did fine...except that she thought 4am was wake up time! Today she went to the vet for her "meet and greet" and the vet said she looked wonderful! I'm a little worried that the vet will pressure me into things that I know nothing about... example: shots. Apparently she wants Terra vaccinated for EVERYTHING. We've had an outbreak of Canine Flu in the area so she says she needs that. And she doesn't seem like she likes the idea of me asking for the rabies vaccine by itself but she'll do it if I insist. We'll see. I have 3 weeks till her next set of shots so I have plenty of time for research and opinions Well, I've added new photos to my album for everyone to check out! Enjoy!

| OhStephanie, congrats!!! I can't help but be super excited for you as I know what you're going through! Luma has done so well..except that she's barely eating. Are you feeding her chicken soup? Let us know how she adjusts.

Yorkie Yakker | Yes Carmen I am feeding her the Chicken Soup. She hasn't eaten much either, just one little bowl that it has taken her a full 24 hours to eat. She really just wants to stay by me and if I don't sit right next to her while she eats then she won't eat anything. And even if I do she eats and whines which is pathetic but cute all at the same time. She's adjusting I know. I'm glad it is Spring Break and I have some time to help her adjust! I'll keep everyone updated. You do the same Carmen

| Girls, don't worry the puppies nibble { a Yorkie dose not eat a lot at once } as long as they can go to there food when they feel like they will eat. My grown dogs don't eat more then 1/4 to 1/2 cup each a day and your girls are much much smaller as long as the babies are happy and playing there is nothing to worry about. I know it can be scary because we all think they need to eat more.

| There is a thread on here about vaccines and when they should have them. Maybe that will help knowing when to do what. She is a cutie!!

| I would not get more then one shot at a time because yorkie puppies are so tiny. Don't let the vet pressure you if your not comfortable with something then say so you are the one in charge of taking care of you pup and do what is best for her. When you say shots for everything do you mean Lyme and Lepto as well because I would make sure to find out if those things are in your area and if not I wouldn't get them.

| Congrats and don't worry about the food, their tummies are so tiny and a few bites of kibble can fill them up, enjoy your new baby..

| Bordatella is normally what is needed for groomers not Lepto. I would google it and ask you vet if Lepto is in your area if its not I would not get it, some small dogs have had bad reactions to Lepto.

| I am not giving Luma the lepto vaccine unless it is really bad in this area, too many stories about horrible reactions.
