| Wow!!! Thats very pricey!!! I pay 31 bucks for puppy shots... No exam fee... No additional fees!! My babies spay and neuters have all been around 200... They also had teeth pulled, chips placed, iv fluids, pain meds, etc all included in this price!! Of course I'm in TX in a rural area, but I love my vet and his staff... Poor you!!!

| Sure sounds like the vet I took Scooter t for a teeth cleaning. Way, way too expensive. Look for another vet.

| I have a question about lepto vaccine, there is a vaccine my vet said she doesn't recommend giving to any dog specially little ones, I would have to twist her arm for her to agree but I don't remember which one she said. They can get it drinking from puddles where urine from an infected animal is present. |

| Well , i have no idea what all vets would say but i do know that oscars breeder told me not to give the lepto vaccine and my vet said the same thing. I guess some toy breeds have can have a bad reaction to this vax. My vet said it all depends on if they are a high risk of being exposed to it. I would suggest you speak more to your vet about this... |

| I almost let Gracie get the Lyme vaccine last year but decided against it. We live in a heavy tick area but Gracie does not go out into the tall grasses where they live. I check her good after we go for walks. There just is not enough good and recent info available. When it first came out there was a lot of negative info but I haven't found anything recent. My vet has given it to bigger dogs but none as small as Gracie so I decided against it. |

| We take Sheldon on walks and to the park. There are tons of Trees and falling leaves on the ground and I have seen deer in my back and front yard, that's why I worry. I still have 2 more weeks to decide. |

| I would quiz the vet about it. Ask if they have used it on dogs the size of yours and ask if anyone has had an adverse reaction. I'd want to know how many they themselves have actually used it on. Also ask if Lyme is prevalent in your area. Not all ticks carry Lyme not even all ticks on deer. We have a large dear population here because there is no hunting allowed but while we are in a high tick populated area Lyme is not prevalent. Most of the cases that have been reported locally were from people who had been infected in other states and then returned home. If your vet cannot answer your questions properly then I would consider waiting on it. |

| I have heard of a few people with dogs and kids infected with lyme this year, and this info is from people who live in my town. The vet recommended the vaccine. |
