| Prissy is a stripper !!!! Honestly, no matter what I put on her, it is off in no time at all. I keep trying and she just keeps stripping. I so want to dress her up, she has many dresses, pajamas and tanks..Anyone know how I can get clothes to stay on Prissy... And no she hasn't had Tequila, so that would not make her clothes fall off.

| I didn't think Prissy was a stripper name.... I wanted to call my next yorkie Lexy, but as soon as my 19 year old son heard about it he said NO WAY...Sexy Lexy is a popular stripper name! And he joked about her not wanting to keep clothes on if I named her that. So I ended up with a ZoE...which worked out great as she likes staying dressed

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | You could try making her clothes just a bit tighter using those baby diaper pins. (safe)

| Hmmm... I don't know... Mine wear clothes daily... Sometimes Mack will "strip" out of his pjs at night (guessing he gets warm) but otherwise no Problems!! Maybe she just doesn't like clothes!!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Alright this "trick" usually works. After you dress her, take her for a walk, play fetch, or tug of war; in other words have fun with her. Two things happen with this; a) she associates clothes with fun times and b) initially the activity immediately after the donning of clothes distracts her from the feel of the clothes.

I tried and tried with our little Harry - he can't stand them! I sent him upstairs the other day in his gorgeous new jacket to show his 'daddy' - Andy said "what new jacket"...!!! He'd managed to take it off almost before he got up the stairs.... Sally + Harry x | |

| I started putting clothing on Gracie because she gets cold easily. Maybe you girl is more warm blooded. Does she have a thick coat? Is it warm where you are? Doing things as a daily routine does help the accept things more easily, just like grooming. Gracie doesn't like tight clothing like sweaters but is good with pajamas and dresses. I guess it just depends on her comfort level. |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Maybe try rewarding with a small treat when you put the dress/outfit on? Then take it off. Do this many times a day to show her that getting dressed means treat. It will make getting dressed a rewarding and fun experience. I did not have problems with KS pulling them off, but she did nip at them at first. But I did the aforementioned and now she loves getting dressed! She almost expects it every day. She sits still while I brush and puts her arms/legs into whatever outfit we are wearing for the day. Then I fix her top knot and she lays her head down while I work. I tell her how pretty she is and she struts her stuff. Now I don't think we could imagine a day without clothes. Good luck to you!

| Thank you again Aymee, she does nip at hers too but I will try dressing her a few times a day and reward with a treat...She doesn't mind her daily brushing at all. Her coat is very thin and tangles easily on the ends. I also don't think she is warm natured b/c when it's cold she shivers when I take her out to potty.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | You're Welcome! I hope it will work! What we did was to break up her treats into itty bitty pieces. That way she wasn't getting too much. Katie Scarlett loves turkey weenies. I cut them up into itty bitty pieces, about the size of a pea, and use those a lot. She loves cheese too. I would buy those little 30 cent sticks individually wrapped at the grocery store and cut those into pea sized pieces too. She also likes those Cesar 'Filet Mignon' treats for dogs. They come in a little purple pouch. They are 7 calories a piece I believe. She gets either a whole or a half of those almost every time she visits the potty pad now. We had regressed after her spay surgery, but now she is doing GREAT! I think it was the treats! She learned quick that if she pees or poopies on the pad, she gets a treat and lots of praise. It's so funny now...she will come off of the pad and turn around. She knows I wipe her with a puppy wipe after each visit and then toss a treat. She will stick that little rump up in the air a tad, wipe, and then look at me like...ok, where's my treat? Tee hee! These little guys are hilarious!
