This is a great link I ran across about a potty training concept I had not ever heard of before. It might not be someone's cup of tea (essentially you leave dirty paper down, place clean paper on top (so it still smells stinky but puppies won't track mess back into their beds/play areas. I'm getting TWO new Yorkies ( a male and a female) in about six weeks, and I am definitely going to try this system. Here's the link:

I had to reply to this because I am laughing...the xpen worked great for Laddy but our newest little one Kyra is an escape artist lol. Thank goodness she took right to the pads, I just keep moving it closer to the door and soon it will be place on outside of door

The only thing I have to add to all the good advice you've been given is that if she has a place she likes to go, put a p-pad there. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I fully agree, I start pad training as soon as the puppies can step out of the whelping box.. the earlier the better , for me and the future parents...
I have my new litter in a metal pen during the day and an enclosed pen in my bedroom at night, and both have a washable pad for them, is accidents but mama is really good teaching them to pee and poop in the pad.

oh I have one of those jumpers, I solved the problem rather quickly.. with this..LOL , Chanel Coco could get out of the pen at 6 months of age..
so mama got a puppy jail for her...LoL, I just love the security, that is where I keep my girls when they are in heat in the puppy room.

Xpen her several times during the day, and crate her at night. She will know that the xpen is the place she has to go. Always give a treat after xpening pups so to make it special.

Hmm I wonder if she might have a little uti from her spay?

Also could you try fundies? I think Linda from fufu fashions is on here and sells them.

I use an xpen as well it works great!
