Ponuding them out..lol.. here's a really funny one.. Brandy loves DH she always seems to know when he's coming in to the apartment.. so one day he's coming in and says did mommy give you what I left you she barked.. then he said to her you got something for me.. she barked again.. he followed her to the office only to find what she got him is a poop pile..lol

My first Yorkie was a Yorkie-Poo. He was the epitome of a perfect dog...so smart, funny, cuddly, loving, and wonderful! He knew it, too. He liked to be primped and liked getting his way, although he was incredibly well-trained and ...dare I say, obedient? I always put a bit of baby powder on him after his bath and he loved it...loved being brushed, and cared for. Once, after moving into a new place, he got a couple fleas. This was before spot-on flea preventatives, etc., so I mixed a little flea powder in with the baby powder...but there was no fooling him. He snubbed me, complete with the little elevated 'aloof' nose-in-the-air muzzle and squinted eyes...and continued to do so, checking every now and then to see if I was still watching. The snubbing was something he would do any time he really wanted (or didn't want) something. I did get a photo of it once.

I also had another Shep/Lab who, as she got older, began to suffer hearing loss...or so it seemed. She was also voice and signal trained, so, believing she couldn't hear well, I would make certain she was looking dead at me and give her a hand signal. One day, I gave her a "sit" signal, and poof...she spun her head and eyes up and away, as if to say, "I didn't see/hear that." I thought it odd, so waited until she was looking at me again, and signaled her again. She repeated the "I didn't see/hear you" behavior. DH and I were laughing hysterically.

She was a really funny one, Honey. She thought, once, when DH approved his dog to do something by saying something about "getting him" that she had been approved to "get' the cat...although she knew quite well that her approval command was "all yours" and you could see on her face the elation...which I quelled immediately...followed by the most dejected-looking face I think I have ever seen on a dog.

OMGosh...there are really so many funny stories. No wonder we just love our babies to death the way we do!!! lol

Here is a funny story...although NOT as funny as a good poop story!

When my Quincy was younger my neighbor had a young cat (Fuzzy)who she would let go outdoors and who's favorite place to go would soon become my front porch, yea me!

At first I didn't mind her coming. Quincy would get into his little playful mode and do the doggy dance wanting to interact with her. I could always tell when Fuzzy was on the porch. Quincy would go into play mode while sitting on the opposite site of our full view glass door. I had no fears that if he got out of him doing anything to her because he grew up with a cat (Sheena) who had passed away a few months earlier.

So we did a few test runs with him on his leash just to see how things went. They did very well together. After a while I though each was "playing nice" I would let them go out into the fenced in yard to play. Once Fuzzy saw Quincy she would follow us right into the yard. This went on for months and it was nice that Quincy had a play mate.

Well I did this several times until one day we go out into the yard. I'm going about my business (I am so laughing right now) doing my gardening when out of the corner of my eye "I see Quincy running for his life, dragging his dear friend Fuzzy around the back yard, attached to his hair". (I am still laughing, now with tears in my eyes) I was laughing so uncontrollably I almost pees myself. After I gained control, I'm out in the yard chasing the two of them around yelling Quincy stop / Quincy come. But he was so freaked out by the whole thing he wouldn't listen to me.

I must have chased them around the yard for at least 10-15 mins. Finally, I got to him and helped Fuzzy release her Death Grip!

Just pretent that the baloon is a cat and you get the idea...lol.

It was one of the highlights of that summer that year!
