I believe that Two-bits would thank-you for putting him first this time, and letting him go...and in order to pay him back for the lessons and love he has shared with you and your children, he'd want you to grieve, and then love again....

He'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge...

Thank you all for your loving words of wisdom. I passed on the wisdom to my kids that making this very hard decision to let 2-bits go was a final act of unselfish and a deep love that we have for him. My youngest came to me later and told me that when you look at it that way it makes it easier to live through it. She told me that she is ok now.

I am so sorry for you and your family. My family went thru this 1 and a half years ago with our black lab Buddy. He was almost 13. It is not easy and I am praying for you and yours. Find comfort in knowing he will be waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge.
