so it happened again on friday night. i left 2 cushins out and he marked on one of them. needless to say, i removed both and give them one bed to share. since then (2 nights) there has been no incidents. hopefully the problem is over

| and Bear too! ♥ Donating Member | I had the same problem when I had 2 male Yorkie/Maltese. They would pee on their beds on the floor and even in their crate! They would also do it to their stuffed toys! One of them passed away in September, and the other one stopped. I myself think it was marking. They used the bathroom outside, and would come in and do that.

im sorry to hear that your little one passed away. its interestimg to hear that it has since stopped. there have been no issues with their toys yet. there was an accident on the living room floor but im not sure which one it was as the female maltese is still only 3.5months and not fully potty trained. but i am optimistic that the 1 bed might be a solution so fingers crossed

![]() It does sound like marking to me, however...a "just so you know...I was here first and this is mine" behaviour. They have a 'happy' spray for cats...don't know if there is one for dogs, however. Maybe 1 bed is your answer. I have seen instructions for how to make a dilution spray, too...for cats, to stop marking. Good Luck!

thanks, i thought exactly te same as you. we are going to persist with just the one bed for now and if it seems to be working, we will get a larger one for the bed of them in a few weeks

so, after 3 days of doing great, i found my little female maltese peeing in the bed. i can only imagine that she copied it from her older yorkie brother. it was great when she copied him in the potty training area but dont copy him and pee in the bed! ahhhhhhh
