| YT 2000 Club Member | Ah, I found an article on it. An interview with Tim Callahan, CEO, WellPet As long as they keep it all natural and the same quality food, I'm fine.

| I just typed in problems with Welliness dog food? and there was alot on it. Wellpet is a co. I have never heard of. Just about the time I think I have settled on a food that would be good for them, then this happens. It could have been a bad can but the date was not outdated and it just looked gross. Something I certainly would not want my babies to even eat something it touched. |

| Well, I was just wondering if anyone else had problems lately with it? Sure, I understand. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind as to what they are feeding. Its just after seeing that I don't think I could ever use it again. I never had a problem with Inovia and if Blue doesn't work for them, I probably will just go back to it. Its really hard knowing what to trust nowadays. I just want the best for all our babies. |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I would have contacted Wellness Co, and told them of the can with the black stuff and see what they had to say, and my son said for future reference whenever this happen to any of us, to never discard the can of food, because the company might want the food back to analize it and learn from it. A couple of years ago I bought a case of Coca Cola and one of the cans was sealed but empty, I called the co and sent the empty can to them and they send me a whole new case of Coke.. so who knows maybe we can get some FREE dog food. :P hugs, |

| YT 2000 Club Member | Oh I completely understand, honestly, I do. I'm one of the most pickiest and over protective Momma's I think God put on this earth, lol. Believe me, if I used Wellness canned dog food and I found what you found in the can, I'd have tossed it to, in a heartbeat. I do agree, it is hard to know what to trust now a days, one day this is good, the next day, nope, it's been found to cause this or that. For me, by LOTS of trial and error, I've learned, if it aint broke, don't fix it, lol. I just went through this with our big furbaby. I tried to put her on a better food cause I wanted the best for her, backfired right in my face :-( And you won't believe the crud I have to feed her.... Purina Dog Chow :-( It's the only thing she can tolerate, and in my opinion, it's crap food. But if her eating it means she can actually poop again and not moo like a cow when she goes and she isn't puking anymore and us running to the vet, then I'll do what our doc said and keep her on the Purina. I wish you the best of luck in finding a food that your lil one can tolerate. It is hard trusting, I know, but you research, I'm sure you'll come up with something that works for you and your baby.

| Good idea. I never thought about keeping it and calling them. All I wanted to do was get rid of it. ugh!!!! Our poor little babies. If the truth was known, no tell'n what they are eating. I can see why so many of our pets die of cancer. Even our food doesn't taste like it use too. Sad, what this world has come to for a dollar. Hope everyone's babies stay well. Little Dudley eat some cheerios with his sisters alittle while ago, so he is on the mend. lol!!! |

| I'm so sorry. It is so hard to lose one. We had schnauzers before our yorkies and still have 2 schnauzers and 2 yorkies. When we had just our schnauzers, we lost one to diabetes in 07 and my little female in 08. I thought I was going to die with them. I have never hurt so bad in my life. I know God has His hand on them and they sit just as still when I pray for them. I know God healed Tina of Wellingbrand's disease when she was 1. She is now 14. God loves them and cares for them just as much as we do. I even had our church praying for them. lol!!! |

| YT 2000 Club Member | (((((Sandysbabies))))) I'm so sorry for your losses as well. Yes, it is very hard to lose them, very, very..... We had our church praying for Isaiah as well. In the end though, God was the only one who could heal him. I still cry for him, a lot. I wear a locket of his fur around my neck, still have a picture of him and my son on my computer monitor, still cry at the drop of a hat when things about him come up. It's a place in my heart that I don't think will ever heal until God calls me home and I can be with him again. It's amazing the bond God allows us to have with his fur children, and the paw prints they leave in our hearts, oh the paw prints......

| I'm going to send you a pm with my e-mail address and anytime you need to talk just e-mail me. I like to have never quit crying over Max and little Mandy was my baby. It helps to talk and talk and talk and cry and cry until we get it all out. |

| Some places that don't have a good amount of sales sometimes have stuff on the shelf that is old. It may be that can had been sitting around for too long. Hopefully it was just a fluke and won't happen again. |
