| I'm Feeling Quite Smug With Myself! :-P I groomed Nibblet today! And she doesn't even look like the doggie equivalent of the kid with a bowl cut kitchen hair cut! She gets her stitches out on Wednesday from her "spa visit"(aka: spay) so I'll give her a bath after that, but she really needed a trim. I got the straight scissors and the ones with the butterfly (balled?) ends to cut around her eyes, ears and face. I think she looks pretty good! I spent a good hour in the store reading the backs of the scissors to see which ones to get, and I figured if Martha can have her own pair of scissors, so can I! (Although I suspect she's not grooming her own dog) I hoping this will help get her used to the grooming process as well, because on her grooming report card, she got bad marks because apparently she likes to wrap herself around your neck like a muffler! I hope when she's able to go back to Doggie Day Care that the other dogs won't say, "Ooo Snap! You let your Mom cut your hair, didn't you?" |

| Hey! That's great. Instead of taking her to the groomers, then are you going to groom her yourself now? It's a learning curve! If you're that good now, imagine how good you'll be in another few months.

| That's great...congratulations! I am hoping that one day I'll be able to groom my babies properly, too. Sounds like you're a 'natural'...for me it'll probably be beginner's luck...and only the one time!

| Congratulaltions! I groom my 2 myself. I started when we got Maggie. I figured it would help save money and I do enjoy the time that we spend together.

| Aw, she must look even cuter if that's possible I started grooming Bubba before meal time, cleaning eye boogies, trimming bum hair, little hair on his paws, just so he can get use to being handled. I try to do something at least everyday and we have built up to 5 minute sessions now. He got his first haircut last week, I did that in two parts, and did his meal in two parts as well. He has been very good and trusting, I hope Nibblet is great like that too P.S. any pictures? |
