| You need to post this in the breeders section so a breeder can help you. My only experience with weaning is with kittens and you do it at 5 weeks and you give them canned cat food. With the pups Im pretty certain the breeders make a gruel mixture with crushed up puppy food and replacement milk.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I start weaning at 4 to 5 weeks, mama usually tips me off, she gets slow with keeping the puppy area clean and only nurses periodically, and the babies still cry, so that signals to me time to start the Goat's milk soft food and a bit of whelping pudding gruel. by the time they are 8 weeks, mama starts wearing an onesie and usually she does not want to feed them anymore, but is very important that she goes in their pen often, she teaches them puppy manners and how to behave and play, that goes on until they are ready to leave at 12 weeks... hugs, |

| I'm jealous of both of you. I'm at work while my husband has the day off and is at home napping on the couch with Gizmo Anywho, no advice except good luck with your little ones. Carmen, along with a few others on this wonderful forum, are awesome breeders and can give you great advice. Be sure to post pictures.
