| Won't Pee Outside... Our little guy is trained to go on a pad inside. He will not go outside, even on a pad. We have been traveling a lot and he goes with us. Sometimes he is in the car for up to 14 hours and even though we walk hi at gas stations, he will just not go. Is there anything we can do to get him to go outside? We've tried waiting for him to go inside, then we he is close to going taking him outside hoping to get him to go and giving him big praise. This is very hard though, as he'll just hold it and we've only been able to do it once. Any ideas? |

| Yoshi, my peke wouldn't do it on walks at first but I just kept him walking and he does it all the time and if I'm in a hurry, I tell him to hurry up and he does it. I can remember the first time he went on leash I came home and kept telling my dh, I was so excited.

| Have you tried using an already used pee pad? Maybe the scent of pee would help him to go. They are creatures of habit. You might also use one of those liquid house breaking aids that have the hormone in it that helps the dog to pee. You really need to practice this at home where he is a little more at ease. Take him just outside the door with what ever he is used to going on. It will take time to get him to catch on to what you want. When you see him go for the usual spot at home take him outside but as I said it is going to be a learning process for him.....or a relearning process... |

| this will probably not help him to go out side, but it might make your life easier. try to find a litter box with on low side that makes it easy for him to walk in. Put the pad in that in the normal spot in your home where his piddle pad is, if he uses that you could bring that with you on trips and he would probably use it in the car. I had one for my last yorkie that was used to papers, and would take it with us when we traveled. Not the answer you were probably looking for but perhaps a different idea, good luck |
