| OPeration Pebbles I got a desperate call from my supervisor at work. Seems he has a friend who bought a yorkie 3 years ago for her daughter. They are a busy family and no one takes up time with the dog. She has never potty trained, and you know what that means. Beatings, rubbing nose in it, scolding, isolation, rejection etc. They were about to "get rid of her" . whatever that meant. So he called me. Maya and I went to get her. EVeryone in the house was glad that Pebbles was leaving. She was active and happy at the house when I went to get her, but she has been terrified at my house. SHe has not gone potty yet. I have her crated. She is not eating yet, just sipped a little water. I have a potential new owner coming to meet her this evening. I feel so sorry for her. Life as she knows it is over and she does not know where she is or what is happening to her. It is 3 AM and I can't even sleep because I feel so sorry for Pebbles.

| Pebbles and I went outside alone at 3:30 AM. I left the other girls inside so she would not get distracted. She has no idea what it is I want her to do outdoors. She rolls around in the grass and then looks at me like "Is this what you want?" We had a bright full moon out this morning and Pebbles starred at the moon for a while and looked at me like "do you see that?" It's 20 something degrees out this morning, but I waited. FINALLY she went pee pee and I gave her the treat of the century. When I went to praise her and pet her for going "good potty" she cowarded. I have no idea what she has really been through. I let her stay out for a bit in the kitchen and she is now back in the crate. I will take her out before I go to work, and my neighbor who rescues dogs too will check on them all mid day for me. This evening her new prospective Mommy will come to meet her. I will keep you guys posted.

| So many people are so ignorant of the needs of a dog or how to communicate with them. I hope who ever gets this little girl is very patient and loving. Someone that can spend a lot of time with her would be good since she is so far behind in her training. She needs lots of attention and training hours to learn how to live with decent people. Is the new owner home during the day to spend time with her? |

| It sounds like Pebbles has had a very sad life. She's so lucky that you came along to save her. She may be scared and confused now, but soon she'll realize that her life has changed for the better. Thank you for being her guardian angel.

| I asked the family where her food was, her bed, her collar, leash. They had none of the above, but told me that she only eats canned wet dog foods. I told them that that was not good for her teeth in the long run, they said they knew that, but it was "all she will eat." I just took video of her happily chowing down on my girl's Science Diet Sensitive Systems. She WILL be on a good dry kibble in her new home. I will see to that.

| That breaks my heart, poor Pebbles. I am so glad she is with you now, I know you will treat her with love and respect she deserves. Good luck and keep us posted. I noticed Pebbles is sporting a yellow bow, are you getting her all pretty?

| Thank goodness you took little Pebbles out of that situation That poor little girl, she must be actually afraid of going to the toilet - anywhere - because she knows the terrible things that will happen to her when she does Makes my heart cry. I really hope it works out well for you, and her potential new family. Sally + Harry x |

| Bless you for rescuing this little sweetheart. I am starting to cry, just imagining her cowarding away from you when you praised her for going potty. Poor baby...I do hope she does to a patient, loving home (she looks so sad in the picture) Praying that she will soon be as spoiled as all of ours.

| It is sad how some little yorkies are treated. What made me feel so badly for her was that she cowered when you were going to pet her.

| As a fellow "Pebbles" owner I feel terrible as to the way this baby has been treated. Poor little thing. Bless you for having the heart to take her and find her a decent home where she will be loved. What a shame. All they want is love!! Keep us posted.
