| I have laughed so hard reading this thread. None of mine have ever danced at all. With so many that do dance, I have to wonder, are my girl's normal?? LOL

| Sophie Kate (yes my sweet little girl) used to dance with any Loofa Dog. It was disturbing -yet funny. She was on a no Loofah Dog diet for awhile but does better now.

Max danced a little standing on his hind legs, knees slightly bent, when we played tug-o-war with THE toy. I would sing "You ain't nothing but a hound dog" because he looked just like Elvis shaking his pelvis.

| Too funny! ![]() Both Brody and Mia "dance"...but they "dance" with each other. We call it the "humpty-bump" and it is so funny to watch. They do the "humpty-bump" when they play...usually one 'knocks' the other down first then the knocker-downer "humpty-bumps" the knocker-downee. It reminds me of Lion King, especially when Mia does it..."pinned ya"..".pinned ya again" but I think it is more of an 'alpha' or an "I won!" thing. They are "air dancing" or doing "dance at's" (daylight between them) after all and both are 'altered' appropriately. DH always encourages Mia to "humpty-bump" Brody. Men!

| He's not dancing for ugh well "pubescent" reasons he's dominating his toys. Watch his show of dominance & control it early. Or video it & threaten him in his teenage stage to show it to the other pups in obedience class. It's 3 a.m. I'm silly with exhaustion.

That one had me truly lol! My sweet, innocent little Muffin used to "dance" with her stuffed doggie. She had this little stuffed doggie that I gave her when she came home with us. He'd been washed until he was threadbare over the most of his body. She occasionally "danced" with him, too. She loved that little stuffed doggie so much. He was much bigger than her when we first brought her home and she would try to wag that doggie around. She would have to lift her head up as she was carrying him, because he was bigger than her. After she outgrew that stuffed doggie that we nicknamed "Doggie", she took "him" everywhere she went. When she went to look out the windows, he was always laying there beside her. I'd always ask her where "Doggie" was and she knew. She would go get him. When she was a puppy, I blackmailed her to get the things back that she stole from me.

| I meant to say that I would blackmail her with her doggie to get my things back that she had stolen. It worked everytime.

| The six Cairns I used to have, all girls, used to specialise in the Conga. All in a line, each up on the one in front, doing the Conga line round the house. Whenever the front one got fed up of bearing the weight, she'd pull free & go hook on the back so every body eventually got to be the leader. |

| Cody has been dancing since shortly after brought him home at 13 weeks. He primarily likes to dance with his beds, any blankets, and his hide a squirrel toy. Only that toy, none others. But any bed or blanket will do. We have a strict no-dancing rule, but he tries to get his ya-yas in anyway. Stubborn little dude. Funny story... we had a friend and her two children over right before Christmas. They were in the family room watching a Christmas movie while we talked in the kitchen. Suddenly the 7 year old comes in and says "Cody's dancing! Look!" And, you know, he totally was. My friend was trying desperately not to laugh while I deadpanned and told her little girl "It must be all the Christmas music!" and then went in and gathered up my little excitable guy. |
