| ![]() I really hope your hubby eventually gives in. Personally I wouldn't suggest getting one without his blessing. I've wanted a dog for a while now and hubby kept saying no, but I continued to share with him how much I wanted the companionship of a puppy since I was alone so much. My oldest is now married and my youngest passed away a few years ago. I was tempted to just get one on my own and started looking for breeders but deep down knew that if we weren't on the same page that down the road I would not have his support or help. What if I needed to go out of town (my parents are aging) Would he be willing to help out? What if I got sick? Would he be willing to potty her or would he resent the puppy....so I choose to just keep finding times when I could really share my heart. FINALLY....for our anniversary this year my gift was his blessing in getting a puppy! And the best part is I can tell he's really starting to like her. Yes, I do all the work like getting up to potty her, clean up after her accidents etc. but most nights he comes home from work and spends time playing with her. Hang in there! Will be praying your hubby comes around! I've only had our little girl a week but she's brought so much joy and chaos back into my life. Good luck! |
