				   | I just don't think I can read anymore of these horror stories. What have we become? How can we be an advanced society and these things still happening at an alarming rate? I think an eye for an eye in the punishment department is in order!!

				   | I see things like this and it makes my blood boil. I scare myself because sometimes I let myself think about what I would like to do to a person who would do such a thing! This is just another reason to try to stop those who breed Yorkies for profit. So many are being put into the hands of fools who have no business having any pet much less a Yorkie! |

This makes me ill! People who do harm to defenseless animals should be give the same treatment that they inflict onto the animal!

				   | Three year old Louie, was in some pain, his eye is bruised and red, and a few teeth are missing. He is on two pain meds. The vet said if it had been two more feet, he may have expired from the head trauma and spine trauma. They showed pics of him on the news, but there's no update on the site yet. He looks pretty good, standing up, coherent. Cute little guy. Thanks to the neighbor who saw and heard what happened, and found Louie and took him to the Pet ER.

				   | I agree with the other posts. The poor little dog belonged to the woman. The man was trying to get at the woman by hurting something that she loved. Abusers usually attack children and pets! |

				   | My question would be is the dog going to be returned to the owner? My guess would yes. So what would prevent this from happening again? Many women let the abuser return even after he has harmed both her and her children.....over and over again. I guess we can only hope this woman is a fast leaner and not a co-dependent type personality. |

				   | There is a video here and a photo of the little guy, too. Md. Man Charged With Throwing Yorkie From Balcony - Baltimore News Story - WBAL Baltimore OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Police said a Baltimore County man is facing animal cruelty charges after he tossed a Yorkshire terrier from a balcony, and animal control officials said the dog is doing remarkably well. County police said officers were called to Mill Centre Drive on Sunday evening after a woman saw a man walk out on a townhouse balcony and throw something. She investigated and discovered an injured Yorkshire terrier. Police spokeswoman Cathy Batton said a woman came out of the townhouse and collected the dog, which was taken to Falls Road Animal Hospital. Batton said the dog, named Louie, had serious, life-threatening head and spinal injuries after being thrown about 50 feet from the 23-foot-high balcony. On Wednesday, 11 News was told that Louie has since been released and is in the care of the Baltimore County Animal Control. "It's pretty amazing how quickly animals recover and heal, even given the extent of the pain and injuries he's in. They're pretty tough," said Baltimore County Animal Control Assistant Chief Tom Scollins. According to Batton, 43-year-old Gary Wallace, Jr., who lives at the home, is charged with animal mutilation and felony animal cruelty. He's being held on $250,000 bond. Neighbor Evelyn Centeno adores her two dogs and said she's horrified that someone could hurt a pet like Louie. "I have a Yorkie, and I'm an animal lover. It's just a horrible thing. I don't know why anyone would buy a dog in the first place and then not know how to take care of it. It's just terrible," she said. Louie is still being treated for head trauma, but he's walking straighter now and is expected to be OK, animal control officials said. There's no word when or if he'll be up for adoption, but officials said he's alive thanks to the quick thinking of someone who did the right thing. "They called the police, which was the correct thing to do," Scollins said. Read more: Md. Man Charged With Throwing Yorkie From Balcony - Baltimore, Maryland News Story - WBAL Baltimore

				   | That poor baby. I am so glad he is out of that situation. The neighbor said there was always trouble at that house. He looks so sweet. I hope someone will adopt him and treat him like the Prince that he is.
