Wow!!! What a wonderful story!!!! I'm sooooo glad your baby is home with you! :) |
i am so glad that armani is back with you where he belongs/ thanks for sharing your miracle with the rest of us/ thanks for the update on armani |
We are all so happy that God has given you this amazing miracle. Being a witness to a miracle increases our own faith as well. I celebrate the little lost lamb that has returned to the fold. I thank God for His loving kindness, His mercy and His healing restoration. He began a good work, and will not let you down now. He will continue to fully heal Armani. What was lost, is now found, and we are all moved and changed because we have seen and witnessed with our own eyes. Please continue to update us and share how things are progressing. Your story has touched so many of us here. We rejoice with you. |

Thank you for coming back and letting us all know how your family is. Please give us updates when you can over the next few days and weeks as he settles in. Blessings to you all |
OK going to something else he smells very bad even after his bath and groom :P and I mean realy BAD its like the smell will not go away. Any ideas ? |
Skunk, internal yeast infection, ear infection, rotten teeth or a dental needed? Just grabbing at straws here. |
Maybe it will take some additional bathings and some time on decent food and water for him to get back to normal and smell like he should? It sounds like he went through a lot and was not taken care of. It may take a little more time and effort to get him back to your standards. Could his new medicine be causing the smell? |
I just read your signature line and started to cry like a baby.....I am so happy that your baby is home in your arms:) |
God bless you and your little one. So happy to hear of a happy ending. I couldn't imagine what you must have gone through. Please let us know if you found out anything about the other little chi that was with him. |
This is the best thread ever. I am so happy for you and yes, i believe in miracles. |
This is a love story that keeps getting better.....about the stinkies...could it be his anal glands? |

Is the smell the same from head to tail, or does it seem stronger in one area? |
Well, I can only imagine what the poor little fellow was into in the last year...probably all sorts of stinky stuff. :p If he is cleared at the vet of all the medical possibilities (yeast, anal glands, etc.), then I would treat it as if it were an external issue...maybe a few more baths are in order? What do people usually do for a skunk? Does tomato juice really work? Maybe you can ask your vet for any ideas on how to deodorize him. Thanks for keeping us updated. I think we have all fallen in love with this miracle pup!!!! |
I am so happy for you both!!:D |

Wow I am overcome with joy after reading this thread. It is so wonderful that Armani has returned home. What a wonderful fairy tale ending to a devastating story that started a year ago. I wish you and Armani many happy years together. Best wishes and blessings on your family. |

Since he was checked out by the vet and his ears are clear and the other end is too I'd guess it may be the food he has been eating. Or it could just be the stress of being at the shelter. You know fear can release hormones for a time. I'm sure once you get him used to a good diet again it will clear up. He may also have some gas from all the sudden changes. What ever it is can only get better as the days pass and things slowly get back to normal for you and your little guy. |
Glad he's home! Maybe try a daily clarifying shampoo (Suave makes one) made to get out oils and hair products, and or Dawn dish detergent, then a ton of conditioner. As for his leg... if you do plan to fix it at some point, just remember, the earlier done the better. Younger dogs heal faster than older dogs. |
