Good point Gracielove. They sound like such idiots I would go down for sure. |
Well It's been a long day. I'll check in tomorrow XOXOGood night |
I agree with other posters, this place is way too disorganized to depend on them to call you about the little Chi. It's sweet of your Mom to offer to adopt it. |
Bless Armani's sweet little heart! glad he's home!! |

Your Armani was MEANT to be with you and a SERIOUS WRONG was RIGHTED today!!! Your Guardian Angels have been working overtime to give you the blessing of togetherness with your beloved Armani. I am so happy that you are reunited with your baby, and I so hope he is okay. I am certain he is MUCH happier being back home again with you and your family. I look forward to updates...take care! |
We used to have to be careful around here because people would steal pets to sell to labs to experiment on. I guess that is not so profitable anymore so people steal them to give to people who train dogs to fight. They need dogs to let their dogs practice on. Target practice is a new sick reason to steal pets. Now I have heard everything. Just don't leave your pets out unattended. There are all kinds of nuts out there! |
It really is a miracle that you were reunited with your baby Armani!! They sound very disorganized and perhaps corrupt, but for now, at least you have your lost love with you again where he belongs. Hope all goes well with the vet tomorrow. Have a wonderful night snuggling with your baby!! |

Congratulations again! So happy Armani was returned to you! From your description of his old wounds, it does not sound like he was ever taken to a vet, as bite wounds that are treated properly usually heal smoothly and may only leave a small scar. Also, if he had been taken to a vet, he would have been scanned at some point while there and you would have been notified. The pitt was more than likely sold at the same time too. When I legally got my pets from the HS, I took them right to the vet to verify their microchips, I wanted to be sure I did adopt someone else's pet, and I wanted the chips checked with different scanners to be sure they worked as intended. My Biewer's international chip does not read on my vet's scanners, so I had her rechipped. I remember a while back where AC Officers were taking found dogs and keeping them, or getting them for relatives and friends, so it does sound like something shady is going on there. Thank God for the honest employee who scanned your dog and called you. Bless his heart. Big Hugs from us! |
Please don't just call the shelter to inquire about the Chi, it is best to go there & look in person. |

kjc, that is a good point about the international chips. That is what my Border Collie has as he is from my breeder friend in Denmark. He is going in in Feb. to get his teeth done and I think I will have them rechip him. No, strike that - I WILL have it done. |

I do hope you take them to court and do whatever else you can do, to stop whoever did this, from doing it to other pets. I believe in Justice and I feel sure you do too. Also, I would not be surprised if your story makes the local news. |
I am so happy this turned out like it did for you. Don't you wish they could talk sometimes? |
i got up first thing this morning wondering how things went last night. unbeleivable that you were showed the wrong dog at first when you went to pick him up. if they had done that to me, i would have been in tears and even more a total mess thinking maybe they really didn't have my baby after all and this was some sick mixup. what an emotional rollercoaster this has been! it is completely cruel and sick what the employees were doing with people's beloved pets, how horrible that it is at all possible that this could be happening! but as disorganized as the place sounds, i'm not too surprised that employees could be stealing dogs without being caught. i'm glad to know that you will be attending the court date and i hope you will have all the answers asap. these people really do need to pay for what they have put innocent pets and their owners through. all that being said and all this aside, it is truly a miracle that you have got your dear little armani back in your loving arms! congratulations on being reunited with your baby!!! thank god that he has watched over him all this time and he is ok!!!!! wishing for a great report from the vet and anxious to hear how holly does with having him back. he's a truly special little guy and i'm sure she will remember him and be happy he is home safely too!!! hoping that his leg is nothing too serious and he can enjoy his life happy and healthy where he belongs. i am curious if he ever received medical treatment from the attack? i would definitely be asking the vet if they felt he did or not, there must be a way they would be able to tell? if he did not, that makes it even worse!!! i am completely blown away by this story and so happy for the way things turned out! i wouldn't be surprised if the news was interested in it either!!! i would do everything i could to have this story heard so no one has to suffer in the way you and your sweet boy did by the hands of people who are supposed to be helping people and their pets but actually doing quite the opposite. in march 2001 our beloved akc yorkie minnie mouse was stolen from my dad's fenced in yard leaving a litter of 3 8-week old puppies behind inside. the father of the pups, buddy (akc yorkie) and our black lab, shadow were less friendly with strange people and, if not for that, possibly could have been stolen too. we heard the dogs barking outside and noticed the gait had been opened and minnie was gone. we never did find her or find anything out about her after searching and searching for a year... we were completely heartbroken and my dad never bred pups again fearing that someone would come back to take them. one of her little 8 week old pups was/is my dear little zowi who is now almost 11 years old. my dad still has a pup from minnie's 1st litter, gizmo, who will be 15 years old in may and looks identical to minnie. we still miss and think of their mommy minnie all the time. in 11 years i have never let zowi outside out of my sight, trust me!!! you are truly blessed and i am so happy and thankful that your story had an incredibly happy ending! thank you for sharing this miracle with all of us and please keep the updates coming!!! |
Good Morning, what a wonderful feeling it is going to be to wake up with Armani today:) Have a beautiful day with him!!! |
I am so happy for you and Armani. This was a true Miracle. Thank you God. |
I just read through this entire thread. It's truly a miracle that you were able to get your Armani back. I'm sorry that he was away from you for a year, but the important thing is that he's back home and safe. |
I am so happy that you have armani back home where he belongs what a miracle |
I thought about you and Armani all night. I hope you both were able to get some rest and just enjoy each other. He looked so happy in his "after" picture - he knows he is truly home again. Sending more kisses for that sweet, sweet little face! |
Congratulations, what a great begining again! If only all stories could be this touching. You are both so lucky to have found each other after all this time. Sounds like a story that should be in the newspaper. |
Miracles Still Happen Welcome home. Armani! I am thrilled that you received your happy ending! :) |
I had a feeling it was some crooked people at the shelter. Shameful. I am scheduling my microchip appointment today! Thank God you have your baby back. |
Thank God you persisted and found him after being shown the wrong pup!! So happy for you and Armani :cheer:. Now I can't get out of my head that you had to search through HUNDREDS of dogs to find him??? So very sad. |
He has been such a good baby all night. I was worried about the potty training but he is doing great. Just to let you guys know there is a person out there attacking me about this and I will no longer post on this thread. If anyone would like to know about to it went at the vet today feel free to msg. me and I will reply as best as I can. Thx to all of you for your wonderful comments I know there are knid loving people here and 1 person that has to stop the party :) Love u all!!!!!!!! Ill be checking my msgs |
So glad things worked out for you and Armani! Too bad though that you had to go through the experience of your dog being attacked, then "stolen" by a dishonest animal control employee. That should never happen to anyone or any dog. It is a real miracle and blessing that you have been reunited. I'm very happy for you! So you were initially shown a female yorkie at the shelter? Wonder what her story is? Makes me feel sorry for the little girl. If I were closer, I'd try to get more information on her and look into possibly adopting her if she would fit in with my other dogs. I hope she finds a home soon. |
