Oh I'm starting to get really nervous here, it's been hours. I thought we would have heard something by now. I hope that someone else didn't go in and try to claim him and they are giving her a hard time getting him back.

It seems like if it is him he must have been adopted out to someone in the mean time. I hope there is not a dispute about who he belongs to. Like I said the animal control is responsible. Even if they did get him mixed up with another Yorkie.

I think it is good news that it is taking so long--she is probably at the vet. If it were not Armani (and I am just not sure how it couldn't be) then she would have come right home.

Here are the possibilities I can think of what might have happened:

1--Armani survived the pit attack, and somehow got lost in the animal control bureaucracy.

2--the chip number was read wrong, and the dog is not Armani. Armani really did die as a result of the pit attack.

3--the chip was taken out of Armani after he died and put in another dog--this seems very unlikely, but it was mentioned by others.

There are others. But I think the only realistic one is #1. I hope that's true.

I can't get away from the computer. I'm so hoping and praying this will be Armani. Does anyone have anything stronger than coffee around here? I'm nervous.

Maybe the dog was presumed dead and then later came to and found a way to escape. Could have been wandering for awhile. Could also have been found by someone and taken in. There are many possibilities I suppose. The bottom line is that I hope it is Armani and that they are once again reunited! Praying for a miracle just like everyone else here!

Or maybe she's enjoying a well deserved reunion with him? I know I wouldn't be able to tear myself away for even a second if it were my little one.

Me too! I would be playing with my pup and holding him close.

Keep in mind she has to go get her other babies and reunite/introduce them as well
