| new but welcome behavior So, all last week me and the GF were home. Probably about 11 days worth of being home most of the time rather than being out of the house for 6 - 8 hours a day. I noticed that Jimmy has become MUCH more friendly. he used to play play play and then go hide somewhere and pee or poop if I didn't get to him soon and really didn't want to be held much... He is turning 6 months old soon, on the 10th, so I don't know if it's because he is growing up or growing attached. I've been sick for the past couple of weeks too but really sick since Friday and he ALWAYS wants to be laying on me rather than playing on the floor with my other furbaby ChiChi. So, he's following me around. Every time I stop he puts his little paws on my legs and wants to be picked up. I lay down on the couch and wants to be picked up. I go outside, he does his business and plays a bit then wants to be picked up. Now, he is waking me up early morning by licking my nose and making yawning noises! Not sure if this is because I'm sick or because he is falling in love with me and my girlfriend! I hope it's because he is falling in love Anyone else notice a change in your pup at around 6 months old or so from play play to super lovey?

| Uhhh, yes! Max is 7 months now, and he is a lot more calm and cuddly than he was when we got him at 3 months. He still likes to play a lot, but its not like it was when he was.. younger lol. I think our babies are growing up and getting a little more mature lol. & I think thats so cute (the paw on the leg thing). & how he wakes you up in the morning, what a sweet little boy!! I'm pretty sure he's falling head over heels!! p.s- Get well soon!!

| lol, thanks It's just odd! I've never had a puppy change behavior so quickly before! I was kind of worried I gave him my cold and he was sick too! There wasn't much time he wasn't laying with me since Friday. My last few dogs didn't grow up until they were a year and a half

Hmmm, maybe you being sick was the cause of him changing so quickly. They do have the tendency to 'take care' of us, stay by our side, and make sure we're ok when we're sick.

| Awww that would be awesome and that's what I was thinking. He had the extra special cute look in his face with everything he did too Here he is with his bitty tongue out while laying under the blankie, which he never does!

| Awwww He is a doll! I think you being sick might have sped up the bonding process, plus you've been home more. It's been so long since my girls were pups that it's hard to remember how they were at that age, but my little one is a cuddler (Luna) and my big girl is not(Izzy). When we first got Luna she was a total spaz Now she's pretty calm most of the time.

| Yeah I love it I love this little booger. I'm worried he is lonely cause he's been home all day without anyone but ChiChi. And he's been in his new pen all day too! I hope he's being good

| Yeah I think so too I got home from work last night and he was definitely missing my company. Almost jumped OUT of his pen....silly boy. Looks like he decided to poo in his play pen too...first time I had left him for more than a few hours in it. What a stink! He also surprised me by figuring out how to jump up on the bed!! my bed is about 3 ft off the floor but 2 feet up is a shelf kind of thing. He figured out he can jump there first then up onto the bed Surprised the heck out of me and my GF! He hasn't got the guts to jump down though, thankfully! Finally, I had to dislodge a piece of food from his throat yesterday too! Scared the crap out of me. He was inside eating and I was outside on the porch. We were about 10 ft away from each other. He came running outside gagging and drool coming out of his mouth like crazy! I FREAKED out and started to go get him and he ran away, like he usually does, but I caught him and did a little squeeze on his chest in the place where I remember reading. I don't know if I dislodged it or he did. what A day yesterday! I swear. Saving from the choke, cleaning poop in his pen and watching him learn how to get up on the bed....

| Wait until he learns how to be naughty!!! My boy is 3, and for the first time ever, he shredded a tissue paper! That was a fun mess to clean up.

| lol! OH NO! hah, he does that too with newspapers. I had them down on the floor when I was painting and he decided to shred and play with them as well as pee on 'em lol.
