| Welcome, just give him a chew toy and it will pass before too long,,it is a puppy phase and it will pass. Anytime there is a chew issue, just give a chewy item and when he does good just praise as if he is the best ever...I am going through the same thing and at times I think I may need Prozac or my Prissy does...lol. just part of having a pupster. |

| Every dog I've ever had, I've trained to respond to the word Hey. They stop and look at me to see what is up. Andy has responded well to it also. It might take a few times of loud Hey's to get them to respond. But after that, a normal voice will get their attention. We had a malamute that would respond to a whispered hey. | When Callie was a puppy and doing that we tried many things but the only thing that worked was to say no and squirt her with a water bottle.

| Jack started doing that when he was younger but only to our sweat pants... at any rate, my husband encouraged this behavior and asks Jack if he's "getting the spiders out of the pants..." Not that we have ever had spiders in our clothes....

YT 1000 Club Member | It's a phase that your pup will outgrow. As others have recommended, be sure to have a variety of chew toys handy and watch him carefully -- my little guy would destroy his toys in a matter of minutes. Romeo also loved to chew on the hem of my jeans and since frayed hems were in style I allowed him to design a few for me :-) Seriously though, I think around 8 months old the chewing dwindled/stopped.
