| Did i do the right thing? Hey guys, happy new year to you all! So, i need your opinions. Last night we were celebrating new year and my mother accidentally spilt her alcoholic drink over Harri. He was covered in this horrible sticky stuff, and i insisted i had to go and wash it out while everyone else said it would be fine to wash out in the morning. I took him upstairs and gave him a quick wash (at 1am!) but i was just wondering what you would have done? Everyone said i was overreacting, but you can't just leave that horrible mess in his fur!! I was worried it would matt his fur! So i'd just like to know what you would have done? I hope i wasn't being an paranoid mummy, but i couldn't leave him in that state!! Thanks!

| Same here...not only the mess of a sticky drink, I would have been afraid of the alcohol if he licked it or it could even have went into his skin.

| You were not over reacting. You did the right thing. I would have done the same thing. If you spill wine on a shirt , then you rinse it out immediately. So why not a living creature. Your pet could have licked some of the drink that spilt on its coat. Dont think twice about what you did. Sometimes when people drink or get embarassed they don't know how to react or what to say. Just ignore those comments or reactions. |
