I would have done the same, not only for the little furbutts safety. But think of the Vet costs if something terrible happened. You could tell them you were protecting Your investment.

If this had been a skin child,noone would of said a thing. Unless it was to offer to help. So you are fine,they are inconsiderate. I hope your baby wasnt to offended,mine would of been very indignant at having a drink sloshed on her. Hope that your flooring survived the spill as well.

I would have washed it out right away too. Accidents happen, but when they do then you need to address it. Most people don't feel the same way about dogs as we do. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it, but would still wash it out right away.
