♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | great cougar Just got a phone call that someone saw a cougar close to my home. I will be going out with the dogs tonight and making lots of noise. How scary. I was out all day today with the horses and never saw anything We had a cougar shot like 25 miles from here before christmas. They must be wondering as they are not usually in this area That person is in a lot of trouble as they are protected. But if they go after my dogs not saying i wouldn't do the same thing. Deep breath it is probably long gone by now. Oh and the person that called me is a hunter and would know what one looked like

| I guess You have to look at it 2 ways. It's great to see the Couger still alive in N. America. It's a beautiful animal. But it is a threat to domesticated/wild animals/prey. |

| We have cougars and bobcats around here, especially in northeastern KS. Remember as a kid listening to this weird sound at night that came from the two creeks we lived by. My father always said it was a bobcat but I thought he was joking. Many years later I found out he wasn't. Sends shivers running down my spine just thinking about it. ~Joanne~

| There are bobcats around here, but even though I've heard of sightings of cougars, I'm not sure they were true here. I believe your hunter saw one. They are dangerous to animals and people. I hope yours is long gone, too.

| We have a bunch of coyotes around here and a ton of deer... but that's beside the point.... Scary to think of a cougar being so close to home specially like you said, putting the little ones to go potty before bedtime. Be careful out there and make lots and lots of noises to scare him off!

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yes hoping it is long gone Lily loves going out at night we have been out several times. All is okay thus far. I am guessing it is long gone. But will keep a watchful eye out. They are beautiful creatures but do not care to see one in my yard We to have bobcats in the area but have never seen one.

In Texas, it's legal to kill them. Never seen one at our deer lease, but other hunters have reported seeing them. We have Bob, the bobcat, mounted and on display in an alcove in our living room. My son is allergic to cats and didn't realize that bobcats are indeed cats, so when he went to have his picture made with his kill, his eyes were swollen shut and his face was swelled up from touching Bob. We see lots og bobcats and red foxes at our deer lease in central Texas (Hill country). I want a red fox to mount.
