| How to put a ow in a little monster that doesnt like them?! Im puppy-sitting my friends yorkie, Suki. Shes ADORABLE and so sweet but she has long hair on top of her head. So she has to put the bows in but she doesnt like them AT ALL!!! I tried everything. Holding a treat in front of her to make her stay, having my sister hold her down while I try to put the bow in and more. She just wont let us put the bow in. We cant let her go around without a bow because she wont be able to see. So How do you get your little monsters to sit and let you put the bow in?!?! |

| I think they just have to get used to it. I believe it has to be part of their routine. At least that is my opinion. How old is she? Have you been putting bows in very long? I put clips in Rosie's hair and use the bows for special occasions. The clips are much easier to put in their hair. I do it every morning. It is just part of her brushing routine. Maybe try some of the clips? I know the toplinepets.com have some of them on their site. Hope this helps.

| My guy hates to have a topknot in his hair, I put a toy on my lap, and he lays between my legs, then I grab a comb, and put an elastic on my finger, while brushing the section of hair. I then quickly throw the elastic on and make the knot. Once I have the plain elastic in I put the bow (usually on a separate elastic or clip-on) on afterwards. I find until you're good at it, putting on bows alone is difficult. Using tiny elastics is far easier. I buy mine at the horse stores, they use them for banding manes, and they are non-stick too so it doesn't rip the hair out. Hope this helps. It's kind of a skill and an art, that takes lots of practice. It sounds kind of mean, but I don't let go of the hair once I have it, he's just kind of figured out that if he moves it's going to hurt a bit so he sits still. If he moves I hold the hair and use my free hand to put him back between my legs. Lol not sure if I described that really well... lol
