| Worried Hi I am pretty new to the forum My Yorkie is 7 yrs old and a puppymill rescue I have had her for 6 months and I love her dearly. She has had I lots of stomach problems. 4 visits to the vet with diarrhea and 1 hospital overnite. She Is now on a dry food diet, Royal Canin and seemed to be doing well until this evening. She has vomited 2x and is now asleep. I will call her vet tomorrow. |

| Been there, done that with my whippet and my greyhound. The whippet was a poo eater, which I could never correct. The greyhound was a rescue and we all know what kind of garbage they were fed at the track. They both had chronic diarrhea which usually started with vomiting and I wound up taking them at different times to a canine internal medicine specialist. Went through all the tests and rule-outs and besides putting them on a strictly limited ingredient diet (venison and sweet potato) the only thing that helped was extended courses of Flagyl to reduce inflammation. This always worked after only a couple of doses and things were good for a while, but the diarrhea would return and we would have to start the med all over again. It's all very frustrating, with the quality and consistency of the latest poo being the main topic of conversation and quite expensive, but we do what we gotta doo.. (pardon the pun). I wish you the very best for your little guy and that you untimately hit on the right cure. I think (hope) there must be a special place in Heaven for those of us who take in the 'poor, tired and huddled masses' because we truly deserve that.

| I had a Bichon Frise who had a touchy stomach the only thing that worked with her was Royal Canin Special. And it did work well. |

| Thank you all so much. Took her to the vet and she seems ok. He recommended fasting for 24 hours, then back on a regular diet. She is such a good little dog and she seems so sad. I hope to give her the care she missed for 6 years |
