Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | A Loose Toothie? Hey guys! Aymee and Katie Scarlett here! We wanted to check in. We have been MIA from the board for a few days. With all these last minute preparations for Christmas, I have been so busy I haven't been on the computer hardly any. Update on Katie Scarlett...I wrote to you guys the other day to ask about some 'brown spots' around her girly parts. They are still there. We have a vet appointment tomorrow at 3 and I will be addressing those at our visit. She was having potty accidents, but that seems to be getting better. She only has had one accident in the past few days. Yay! So I am hoping the vet can tell me if it's just pigmentation or what. Anyways...question for you guys...what do I need to know about losing teeth? Katie Scarlett is 5 months. We brush every night before bed time. I use a soft toothbrush and poultry flavored toothbrush that I got at PetSmart. She is really good about brushing toothies. Tonite though I noticed that she had a little bleeding around one of her front teeth on the bottom. I very carefully touched it and it is wiggly. Is she about to lose this tooth? Do I need to be watching to make sure she doesn't swallow it or what? It's one of the teeny tiny teeth on the front. She may of lost teeth before, but if she has, I haven't noticed it. I am going to ask the vet about this. But in the meantime, do I need to avoid this area when we brush teeth? Also, what about food? I have noticed in the past couple of days she hasn't been eating as much kibble. Do I need to be moistening it? Sorry to ask so many questions. Being my first Yorkie, this is a learning process for us. Thank goodness for YT!!! We have another busy day tomorrow. We have last minute packing and a few errands to run. We will be leaving PA on Friday morning and making the trip down to AL to see our families for the holidays. We are driving half of the 12 hour trip on Friday and the rest on Saturday. Her first big road trip! Yay! We are so excited and I know she's ready! We ride in the car almost everyday and she has been on one trip (a 2 hour one to Jersey) before. I gotta remember to take pix and video to share! And if I don't get to say it later....Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have the best holiday ever!

| Yes, she's going to lose her teeth and it's the right time. I always saved the one's I found and keep them in a tiny puppy box. Tug of war is a great way to lose the puppy teeth!

| It's great to hear about Katie Scarlett It sounds like she's growing up! I wouldn't worry about her swallowing baby teeth... it happens all the time. I never actually found any of Couver or Khloe's baby teeth and they survived to talk about it As for the brown spots, I have no advice... She could just have freckles? It seems like a lot of people get really busy during this time but are able to come back after the holidays full throttle. Hope you have a Merry Christmas, and I'm sure KS will do great on her first long road trip! Mine will be travelling with us (6 hours) and love it. Can't wait to see pictures of your beautiful girl
