| close call for Sedrick We had a close call for our little guy last night - actually a little too close for comfort. After hearing all the bad things about raw hide and greenies and the problems they can cause I decided to try Doogan and Sedrick on bully sticks. Little Sedrick was laying on the floor happily chewing away on the stick when all of a sudden he looked like he was having a seizure - he was shaking uncontrollably and then ran over to his bed. I ran over to him and he was gagging and not able to breathe so I yelled to my husband to pick him up fast while I stuck my finger down his throat. It took me three tries to dislodge a 4 inch piece of bully stick from his throat and I think the only thing that helped was Sedrick heaving his stomach at the same time as me sticking my finger down. Poor little guy was pretty scared after that not to mention his poor mommy and daddy!! I am happy to say that five minutes later he was running around and playing with Doogan and eating our homemade treats!! |
