Of course she is very active, she's in heat and instinct is to breed. She will continue to breed as long as you allow it. It is possible for dogs to tie at any time, unusual for her to accept the male if she wasn't ready. That being said mark your calendar for the first time they tied and be ready.

It wont be easy, prepare yourself. Have all of your supplies ready and a vet. on call.

I understand everyone's frustration, anger, dismay, and all the other emotions shown. I do not disagree with the statements I have read, but it could be done more constructively in my opinion. Several times I have noticed someone coming to the site for advice. They appear to be ingnorant when it comes to breeding, and the dangers that come with it. They must be willing to listen, that is why they came here. Ignorance is lack of knowledge. People can learn, and just because they don't already know it does not mean they will never learn. I think so many times the replies are not done in a way to mae the OP stick around to really learn. I think a lot of times the OP sees the replies and never comes back because there is a negative and sometimes personal undertone to the replies. They may also never even see the real information in the posts, and therefore remain ignorant. There is a ton of very helpful information on this site. I have found it to be very beneficial. I also see how very caring and helpful the members of yt are. I am not talking about any one post it is just an overall vibe I get at times. I guess I am done rambling.

Just because you are a Yorkie Lover- does not make you a breeder or anything close to it.

If you are ignorant when it comes to Breeding, then why would you do it purposley?????? If you want to Breed, get a mentor, learn all there is to learn and then some. I do not think anyone here is trying to be mean, just fed up with seeing the same old post, I bred my dog, what do I do now? I hope the op will take the advice of the breeders here who know what they are doing and get her baby spayed and enjoy her as a pet.

I recommend going to your vet and having her checked out, then take her to a AKC breeder in your area and asking him/her if your dog is the right size to handle a litter. If not either a, schedule an emergency spay with your vet, or b, make sure you have at least $3k for an c-section and that you have a reputable breeder on speed dial who is willing to help you whelp, and possibly raise a litter of puppies without mothers help. Sometimes when bitches are too young to be bred, but are bred anyways they can make it through the pregnancy and birthing just fine, but then reject the pups all-together and the breeder is put in the position of feeding, cleaning, and ensuring the pups are clearing their bowels regularly. I in all honesty hope your dog does not take the male, or that the breeding was done too early/too late for it to take.
Saddens me when someone is willing to breed their own pet just because their family/friends want a puppy. There are lots of yorkies, yorkie mixes, and puppies out there in shelters etc.

Altogether, you've been given great advice here even if some of it is harsh, you have to realize you may be a Yorkie lover, but some of us are Yorkie passionate and have been in the breeding [legit registered breeding] for a long time and know what they're talking about. I personally have never bred, not will I ever so I have no profound wisdom besides telling you to listen to these people ^^ Goodluck

So we have another uneducated newbie asking for advice when it is already too late. sigh. I hope she does take her little one to the vet and do what must be done. Poor little dog.

I for one am beyond frustrated with people breeding there dogs just because they want a cute little puppy...And I for one have rescued dogs that are thrown away by bad breeders, and I REFUSE to apologize for how I feel. It is not my intent to mean malicious and hurtful, but these poor dogs are paying the price for someone elses ignorance.

I really hope the op has come back and read every ones advise and taken her girl to get spayed although sense she hasn't posted again I am doubtful that she has :(
