| ![]() I don't like to see pets dyed. I know it's supposed to be safe and nontoxic but I don't care for it. What bothers me most is the ridiculous colors they dye pets. A pink poodle or a purple maltese is just wrong. I don't mind seeing dogs in bows, clothes, etc. (because I do that too), but I would never change the color of my furbaby. Pets have feelings too. |

| ![]() I don't think we'll ever see dying a dog's hair as being an "in" thing to do. I think it will always stay with the minority of pet owners. As long as they are using pet safe dye, I see nothing wrong with it. Would I do it? Probably not. I get enough people asking me if I bleach Uni as it is.

| ![]() I know that they make hair dye for dogs that is supposed to be harmless to them but the idea of using a dog to be trendy or stylish just makes me sick. Already people are looking for tiny dogs that they can fit in a bag like the wacky singing stars and starlets in Hollywood do. Little dogs are being mass produced to meet the demand of the trendy people that think stuffing a dog in a purse is cool but who do not have the least interest in training a dog or having it as a companion. Now we will have teenagers and irresponsible people dying dog's hair in order to show it off to the gang. The media is partly responsible for promoting these fads. |

| ![]() I saw something on Animal Planet where there was a drag queen & doggie fashion show to raise money for charity. All of the dyes used were safe and non toxic. I really have no issue with it. The dogs get lots of attention and in the case of the fashion show, it was done for a good cause. That said, I would never be interested in dying my own little ones.

| ![]() As I said I realize that the dye they sell for dogs is harmless. It's the idea of a fad involving pets that bothers me. When the media starts promoting this type of thing irresponsible people start doing things to pets that should not be done. They don't need anymore ways to abuse animals than there already are. The airhead that decides to dye their mom's dog with regular hair dye when mom isn't home is going to do some damage. Not to mention the others who will go out and get a pet just to be in on the trend of having a weird looking dog for all the gang to admire. |

| ![]() In general, they use safe organic dye. It's not really the latest craze. It's been going on for ages and some groomers dye their dogs in competitions. It's not hurting the animal, if anything it's something for the owner and dog to do together (the competitions). I've seen people dress their dogs in worse ways than putting washable dye on them. People will do weird things, personally I like letting my dog be a dog, but I don't think i'm in any position to look down on them especially if no one is getting hurt.

| ![]() There is a groomer in a couple towns over from where I live... they dye there dogs. I think it looks EXTREAMLY silly! A dog is supposed to look "normal". But then again, I dress my dog in clothes and bows. ![]() |
