Yup, you don't have to use a food processor, a blender works also, especially on baked sweet potatos. They generally take longer than a regular russet potato. When i make mine, I use 350 for heat and on the larger ones its about 45-55 minutes, when you check it, you will see oozing out of the poke holes you put in it, i let mine get really soft so they mash nicely.After it cools i just scoop all the potato off the skin (they don't get any, but i love the skin so i eat it, yum)

I use Libby's but they do sell organic canned pumpkin. It's nice to have on hand because pumpkin is recommended for diarrhea and constipation, so if your dog has either of these, it corrects itself, without causing the other extreme.

I make broccoli and mash it. The problem is to make it soft enough to mash you are cooking all of the nutrients out of it anyway. I have used the food processer for sweet potatoes

Got it- thank u for the info! I'm def going to try it.. I do have 2 more jars of the baby food and want to use those before I start something new!!

Great!! I heard pumpkin is good for them- I think Pnut will like it too- he is into the more sweeter things- he spits out carrots, I don't blame him, my carrots have to be covered in ranch!! Lol

Pumpkin isn't all that sweet, you put of sugar in it to make pumpkin pie. I think it tastes a little like sweet potatoes.

Broccolli is wonderful for them cauliflower too you might want to give in moderation though because they can cause gas. My yorkie love them though and they are good for them

Good to know- I will def try- I doubt Pnut will like them... But sometimes he surprises me.

Yes, they can be very picky can't they? I like canned pumpkin better than cooked carrots.

LoL Yes they can, but they are so cute they can get away with it. Sometimes when I am eating carrots and ranch- Peanut will act like he wants some, so I will give him a piece of carrot, in the mouth, then right back out. Then I will trick him and put a little ranch on it, in the mouth, back out with no ranch LOL!
